Can't speak for anyone else, but...it depends on whether the Cowboys are good enough for me to piss family off.How many of you are not watching the game this Sunday at 4est due to xmas eve plans? I know with my family, we will go to early mass and then out to dinner so I will absolutely miss all of it. I have spectrum streaming so can't even record to watch and when we get home from dinner have magic family time with the 3,7,9 year olds....needless to say, I am going to have to bypass this week due to scheduling.
Hopefully they get the win but curious how many of you are in the same predicament I am in and what you are doing to be able to watch later without knowing how it unfolded?
(PS this thread is not about not watching bc I don't want to or bc trying to make some dumb statement, so lets not make it about that please)
The guy has 11,000+ posts here since 2018 and is already bummed about having to miss a football game 3 days from today.Go enjoy what's important. If they win, you can catch a replay of it at a convenient time. If they don't, it didn't drag down your holiday mood.
That’s too bad but understandable. Can’t you record it somehow? How many of you are not watching the game this Sunday at 4est due to xmas eve plans? I’m with you on this. I literally told my parents decades ago not to go dying on a Sunday in the fall. Several weddings and family events were skipped. They all knew.If you're a diehard fan, and you're in a relationship where your significant other has you missing Cowboys games, GET OUT!!!!
It's not about "well family's most important!"
It's about you being deprived of your passion by someone who's supposed to care about making you happy.
Not specifically directing this at the OP.
It sounds as if he can only do one thing at a time though. In other words, he understands what is truly important & what has to be sacrificed. And I did tell him there were ways to see it after the fact .... IF it's worth watching. The guy has 11,000+ posts here since 2018 and is already bummed about having to miss a football game 3 days from today.
The Cowboys are clearly important to him.
It's not an either/or. My advice to him would be to find a way to enjoy both his family and his favorite football team. Not that hard to do in 2023.
2edgy4mewhoever can't watch - not a real fan
God bless you and your family brother StashI’m probably not going to watch either. At least not live. Faith and family are higher on my list of priorities.
The reverse of this is also true....that is, making someone else happy about "their" passion. That being said, I am with you!!If you're a diehard fan, and you're in a relationship where your significant other has you missing Cowboys games, GET OUT!!!!

We usually have Christmas Eve at one of my sisters in law's place in the evening. But as the family grows in laws and out of two relatives come into play and we can't all get together. So this year we're having lunch instead of dinner. My wife and oldest son and daughter all also Cowboys fans, so in between playing with the grandchild we'll be watching....We're having brunch with my parents. The afternoon is free.
Win or lose, I'll enjoy 3 hours of entertainment.
