I disagree with your logic. If Dak is about to be the highest paid player in NFL history why is there videos explaining why he is not the problem? Why is there so much effort to validate his game?

If we resign him to 55-60 APY, we’ll be paying top dollar for an average to above average player who does not perform on the road and his career has peaked.

If someone made a video about how the running game is not Tony Pollard’s fault should we resign Tony for 20 million APY? Not a good idea and it’s not a good idea to resign Dak for 60 APY.
You can't base YOUR opinion off of ONE video

Why listen to a guy that's actually played quarterback in the NFL? What could he possibly know?

All the experts here on Cowboys Zone tell me Dak is the problem. It's too bad they have better things to do instead of becoming NFL scouts or general managers.

Zeke led the NFL in rushing 2 of daks first 3 years as starter. What happened then?
In those two particular seasons?

2016: In his first ever playoff game Dak threw for 302 yards and 3 touchdowns but the Cowboys could not stop Aaron Rodgers in the end.

2018: Dallas beats Seattle in the first playoff game, then lose 30-22 to the Rams when the defense gave up over 240 yards rushing and could not get off the field.

So yeah, blame Dak for those games too.

Byron Jones didn’t get deep enough to stop Aaron Rodgers. Did you forget?
Of course. Current excuse is lack of run game. Back then, run game was best in the entire league, but defense wasn't good enough.....

No matter the result, Dak bore no responsibility.

Someone remind me again why a guy who needs to be carried by the rest of the roster deserves to be the highest paid guy in league history. Without using the words "market value", please.... ;)

I don’t think the rest of the team has to carry him. I think he can stand alone very well when needed. The problem is people think it’s a one person game. If we had a running game right now, more balance, we have a much better chance. Even though I still like our chances right now. It’s a whole new season come playoffs. I don’t use it as an excuse. I use it as what’s actually lacking along with middle linebacker.

Carried? What quarterback wins with a crap team around him?

Patrick Mahomes is having a down year and everyone blames his receivers. Well, isn't Mahomes supposed to elevate the team around him? If not, than why are we expecting Dak to do the same?

The 49ers lost three in a row back in October and the narrative was "they didn't have Deebo Samuel and Trent Williams". For Brock Purdy those are "reasons". For Dak they would be "an excuse".

What am I getting at? Football is a team game. You can't look at any quarterback's contract and expect him to be the one man show that delivers fistfuls of Super Bowl rings all by himself while the rest of the team gets away with crapping themselves.

Fans like you want to lay every single thing that goes wrong with the Cowboys at Dak's feet. While there have been numerous cases across his career where he's been bad (like all QB's), it's asinine to think moving on from Dak would suddenly fix everything here. If someone wants to look subjectively at Prescott's career, he's been one of the few things that have gone right since 2016.

Not that any of this matters to people that already have their minds made up as to what he is.

Fair enough. We don't see eye to eye on some things but that's a reasonable take. Happy New Year bro

If you're going to demand to be the highest paid player in league history, you damn well better be able to carry your team and overcome some deficiencies if/when needed
