Was that the right call at the end?

58 is there too. 70 didn’t even talk to the refs. I think 58 and skipper told the head official that 70 was elligible.

And the media could shut all of this down by saying exactly your succinct statement…..but they won’t.

Now the ref in the booth of Troy said it was 3 penalties all in one play.
So you gotta cover the eligible wr?

Why both ol go to ref them. Butch play. Illegal formation anyway.
Skipper went to the officials like he was reporting but Decker was behind him and was the one who actually reported. The ref didn't catch that. He thought Skipper reported.

They did this to fool the Cowboys.

Chalk this up as another gifted win for this team.

So you gotta cover him right
No, if 68 is eligible then he cannot be covered if he is on the LOS. However, if #70 also reported then they may have only had 4 ineligible linemen on the LOS which would be a penalty.

Something the talking heads keep talking about is ho the Lions didn't make it obvious who was reporting because they didn't want to alert the Cowboys defense. But the point of reporting to the refs is so they can alert the Cowboys that players wearing jerseys with ineligible player numbers are indeed eligible.

Campbell also go nothing out of a deep red zone trip in the 1st half. The Lions losing is totally on him. They should have won this game.
