Does anyone wish we had any of these quarterbacks instead of Dak?

Just askin'. :)

Football is so week to week, yet fans go on this emotional roller coaster ride after each win or loss.

But, every QB goes through it, except for maybe Mahomes, who gets a pass no matter how bad he plays.

Dak is not exempt from the fire after a bad offensive showing, let alone in consecutive weeks.

And, personally, I think he's overachieving based on his arm talent. But he's a bonafide great leader.

And here's who was taken ahead of Dak:

1 Jared Goff Cal Rams
2 Carson Wentz North Dakota State Eagles
26 Paxton Lynch Memphis Broncos
51 Christian Hackenberg Penn State Jets
91 Jacoby Brissett North Carolina State Patriots
93 Cody Kessler USC Browns
100 Connor Cook Michigan State Raiders

Does anyone wish we had any of them instead? LOL

Pleasant surprise for the most part of this year. Let's judge him against a winning record team in the playoffs. He has home field. We're going to need at least 28 points or more to win this game.

Those so in love with the FO should remember how much Jerry wanted Lynch and Connor before 'settling' for Dak

His arm talent has been looking pretty well. I don't think it is an over achievement.
But we will need to see how consistent he can stay. As well, the team surrounding him.

He did not settle for Dak. They tried to make trades and they did not work out.

Jimmy Johnson tried to trade for LB, James Francis, then LB Lamar Lathon, they settled for Emmitt then?
So what are you trying to say? Its all luck?
Dude bottom line is that both Jimmy and Jerry made mistakes and lucked into much better players
Don't act like it was all part of a master plan

I'll take the bait...

How much more consistent do you want your QB. Seems like asking for a miracle worker.

The dude has been pretty damn consistent his whole career in almost all aspects of QB'ing. Low turn overs to boot.

Sure...the guy might struggle against playoff teams...but most QB's do. Playoffs arent some walk in the park.

Please dont make this about pay vs play. Its a team game and Dak consistently pulls weight. If you want to suggest he sucks elsewhere like reading the field, beating zone, making tight throws, releasing too late, bad pocket presence, doesnt throw ball out of bounds and instead takes stupid 4 yard losses...I guess state your case....that all those things come into play and if youre weak in a couple areas it bites you in the playoffs. I dont fully buy that argument. Dak has been consistent and pulls weight in a team game where you have to rely on other players and coaches.

Not trying to attack you...but the word consistent being used. Just seems completely unfair use of a word with discussing Dak.

Did I say it was part of a master plan?

And yes, luck has a lot to do with it.

You may not believe this but I'm pretty sure we have at least 4-5 members who would say yes.........privately (lol)

Sure seems like you are attacking me.
As I said, the team also needs to be more consistent. Now is the time to do so, and not lay eggs as in Buffalo and Miami.

Nope, and honestly I wouldn't take Herbert or Lawrence over Dak. I think has officially moved into the top 5 qbs

So, are we still cutting him in the off season? Asking for a friend!
No the plan would never be cut the guy out right and we should consider keeping him here's the big debate should we just let him play out his contract and eat that big cap hit and not extend the guy and see what happens because his big new contract it's gonna exceed what we owe him in AV anyway I mean why not keep him on a one year deal for now and then see if this window opens or closes before you commit to that kind of money... I for sure not trying to get rid of Prescott but you don't cut the guy and eat that kind of I think it's like $28 million in dead cap could be more I I can't remember offhand but you can ask him if he wants to be traded before 2024 or play out as 2024 contract and be a FA in 25.,.

As great as he's played there's always going to be a debate when it comes to the salary cap hits and how you can build your rosters and all these other guys who are owed money but no way that we should just outright find a way to get rid of Prescott that was a dumb premise in the first place trying to find a another quarterback could take a decade they have 3-12 win seasons and at least get us in the playoffs I mean people think that you're going to trade out quarterbacks and automatically somehow be in the Super bowl the year after it's nonsense...

But that doesn't mean there isn't going to be a discussion about what's right for the team
