Now that you mention it, that may be why they want Pollard. I didn't even think of it.

Tyjae Spears looked pretty good in limited action, but maybe they didn't want to trust him with a 20 touch workload yet. So they want Pollard as kind of a safer vet committee back.

I have no idea if Spears can pass block or not, but Pollard is excellent at it and that might drive it too.
