Slater with a quote from a Cowboy source on free agency

At some point the Cowboys are hurting the shield by this stupidity. Seems like a lack of organizational control similar to when Briles and Baylor let his players rape all those girls and covered it up.

Pathetic way to operate. And they have done this for years. The Cowboys wait to let guys call them. Free agency is an afterthought for them. They do not use free agency to attempt to get better they use it to simply add bodies as cheaply as possible.

This is that time of the offseason when you can't trust anything any team spokesman says.

Deliberate disinformation, propaganda, bluffing, espionage, decoys, you name it.

Well their boat has been tracked near Nassau as of this morning

Cowboys - Signing Nobody

So now not only do the cowboys expect people to call them for trades, they expect players and agents to call them to initiate talks?

Can’t wait to hear people like @Rockport and @rambo2 to make this seem like normal front office practice
I literally said this yesterday on a thread, before this tweet came out. This front office is something else.

For the first time in twQB o years, I’m starting to believe Dak will become an unrestricted FA in 2025
They have one more drop-dead deadline.......that's to trade ( if possible ) him before the draft. If it doesn't happen then, forget it coz all teams will have their QB position set ( after free agency and draft ). This means with no trade/tag clauses and becoming a free agent, he won't have any trade value. He can play out the season and walk or tell Jerry to give him a blank check to keep him.

El cheapo Running Backs (min) ----->>>>Dallas Cowboys

Running Backs who get you yards (cost more than min)----->>>> Rest of NFL

Fun Times ladies and gents!

The Cowboys' way of handling the NFL salary cap is one that leaves all credibility behind. It's strictly an amateur undertaking!

It really appears that they're determined to undermine any chances of success for the future. It's a pity they cannot act any wiser.
