Is he as good as Lance?
He works as the Eagles’ QB2 for less than $2 million in 2024. Lance might be Dallas’ QB2 (might) for over $5 million in 2024, $4 1/2 million of it due him five days after camp opens in July. Not even time enough to see if he can beat out Rush for QB2. How much would you rather pay for a guy who is not going to play? He stinks, but he doesn’t stink as bad as Lance.

Even though Wilson is declining, he is still much better than Pickett. He never had a chance to even compete for the job.
Wilson needs a back-up QB. Would be a much better opportunity for Trance.

We have a lot of money tied up in the QB position. I'd be surprised if we go into the season with Rush, and Lance. But to be honest aside from Prescott we don't have a starting quarterback. Our backups stink and couldn't start for another NFL team. The hope is Lance is developing. Rush will never be anything other than a short-term backup for a good football team that can carry him.

Lance is a free agent at the end of the year. If/when Dak signs he is gone. Waste of a 4th round pick and $5M.

Why make that trade to compete to be a back up, when we already have a proven backup?

Hurts’ $51 million per year deal starts on Wednesday. A lot of money.

Funny, there were fans on this board that wanted the Cowboys to draft him so he could replace Dak.
Yeah…love it how some posters feel the need to slam the moves other teams make, especially those with multiple Super Bowl appearances over the past several years; meanwhile the Cowboys make no meaningful trades or acquisitions and haven’t sniffed a playoff win in years.

A report just popped up on X that the Cowboys are finalizing a trade for Stefon Diggs. We’ll soon find out if it’s true. Don’t hold your breath, it’s not coming from a reliable source.

His cap number for 2024 is only 13 million. That's probably average to below average for starting quarterbacks. But I'm not talking about starters. I'm referring to backup quarterbacks. With this latest acquisition Eagles have just short of 4 million invested in backup QB's. We have twice that for guys that might never play. I'd be surprised for them both to be on the roster starting the season. That's all I was saying. I just noticed 59,000,00 for Prescott. That's terrible. We had better get somebody that manages the cap better than that. It's costing us good players and wins.

He’s a below average starter that will be good as their backup. They value the backup qb more than most teams.
LOL. Dude, can you finally cut the act and change your name to "Eagles1966"?

The Eagles have more draft capital invested in their backup than Dallas does in their starter.
