So to be clear where we are roster wise

It’s frustrating to say the least. They could easily make several cheap moves to shore things up

-Slide Tyler Smith to LT
-Sign D’onta Foreman ($2-$3 million, 74.0 PFF Score)
-Move TJ Bass to LG
-Draft JPJ, Frazier, Barton round 1 at C
-Sign Taier Tart ($3-$4 million)
-Sign Zach Cunningham

Players aren’t really specific and need starting caliber bodies at RB, DT, LB before the draft

Just hard to imagine 81 year old Jerry is playing the long game.
This is whats baffling.Team has won 37 games (2nd most in the NFL the last 3 years), but they seem to be wanting to change things.

Now, if this is your plan, why not blow it up ala Washington and just start fresh.

This half *** attempt to ”we want to contend“ but all of our coaches on one year deals

- We apparently lost our LT
- We lost our center
- Our RB room is the weakest in the NFL right now
- We lost one DT and may lose our best one in Hankins
- We are down one of our top 3 WRs.
- We have little to no depth at DE now

We signed one LB but frankly could use another vet IMO. We can debate whether letting some of these guys go was smart but nonetheless they still created a roster hole.

The Jones show no sign of concern and we have Stephen doing the annual “we get our players in the draft” spiel.

It’s downright perplexing that instead of building upon a division winning team it appears their plan is to field a team that actually could be less talented than the 2023 team.

I’d love for Stephen and Jerry to livestream their postseason personnel discussions. I bet it would be the most entertaining thing on television.
They never build off the previous season. I know that sounds odd, but it's what they never do. You only notice it more on years like this. All this means is that they'll pick up more bodies in FA, draft, and pay their own players. Rinse and repeat every year. The only thing that changes is the number of bodies from FA they pick up.

This is the worst offseason in a long time. Typically we would at least re-sign our own depth players.

We need starters at LT, C, RB. We have major depth problems at WR, DT, DE, LB, CB.

We don't have enough picks to get the quantity of players we need, let alone quality. Are we really going to count on Overshown, Mazi, Tolbert, Sam Williams, Brock Huffman to become starters--and good ones at that--when they've shown nothing to indicate they're actually good and reliable?

This is an insane approach. It makes no sense. This is like expecting Cole Beasely to become a number one WR. But at several key positions! And they're not even signing role players to crappy lil one year deals anymore. They're just doing nothing at all!

Also, it is all in preparation for Jerry will likely give Ceedee, Micah, and Dak the entirety of our cap space for the foreseeable soon to ensure we can never field a complete team.

Think we are seeing a reset of the salary cap over the course of the next 2 years. Next years off season is going to very similar, especially with all the dead money coming off the cap. They will not be a tear down and we have too many talented young players to go that route but this years group isn’t going to be as talented as last year on paper.

The front office made the decision that last years team wasn’t/isn’t good enough to compete for a superbowl with aging players and jags that signed elsewhere. Can’t disagree with this philosophy. Wouldn’t have resigned any of the players we lost with the contracts they got. It’s the money allocated in the past and Prescott that has put us in the cap situation we are in today. I would like them to take a couple of chances of some young players in free agency that maybe could help and have a future such as Mekhi Becton, JK Dobbins, Chase Young (depending on $$) maybe activity like this will happen after the draft when it won’t impact comp picks.

It is important that the offensive and defensive line are solidified over the next two drafts. If that can be accomplished then along with an above average linebacker the rest we already have or can get rather easily. Hope the draft is BPA concerning the lines. This draft sets up for this with the offensive line. If the tackles are gone, take JPJ or Barton and move Smith to left tackle. Wouldn’t be afraid to double dip in the 2nd but focus on the trenches.

And then when they draft a TB with their first or second pick? LOL.

How do they have little depth at DE? They could barely get a 2nd round pick 12 snaps a game and BSed giving another (3rd round) snaps at 3t to get him on field. 4th was never active. They didn’t keep Tyrus Wheat on the active roster all last season if they didn’t think there wasn’t something there with some development!
Why not? They've done it before.

Jerry at 81, not happening. This dude thinks we will win it this year
I don't think Jerry is making the decisions anymore. He hasn't for years now. Jerry is the GM emeritus. It's been the Stephen show for a looong time.

Remember the story years back where Tony Romo was on the Jones' bus with Garrett and Stephen and Tony Romo was imploring Jerry to think big and take the reins because Romo (playing career) and Jerry (life) didn't have many opportunities left, but Garrett and Stephen had decades to win another Super Bowl.

Did you find Jerry's stash of Johnny Walker Blue?

Tyron's contract is really a $6M contract that can reach $20M with incentives he won't achieve. Tyron is a bargain at $6M and we should have antied up for that.

Powers-Johnson is not going to be there at 24.

It's looking like Hankins may sign with Seattle.

The second (blocking) TE is going to match the production of the third WR? Lol ok...

Fehoko wouldn't be on the active roster for at least half the teams in this league.
We will see if Tyron stays healthy and hits his incentives.

I did not promise JPJ would be there OR BARTON

We will see on Hankins.

Gallup had 34 catches and 400 yards. Not difficult to replace. That is 2 catches a game or 30 yards a game.

Fehoko has to step up

Depth doesn't mean bodies.

Don’t forget the mental side of things for the players!!! The last game they played they got dog walked by an inferior team and showed no mental toughness. And now multiple key pieces have left. I genuinely think we could be looking at a total collapse by week 8 if they hit any bumps.

Come on lol. Tell me you haven’t played competitive sports before or if you have, you’re just reaching for negativity on this.

This has nothing to do with last year. I wasn’t an NFL player by any means, but played highly competitive high school and collegiate football. I coached several teams and even helped scout for a few colleges.

My point is, I have played with, coached and talked to thousands of players. These players do not have this mentality. They especially don’t at this level. This is all fan speak.

Which is why we haven't won in 28 years. It's always about the one season.

Mental toughness? That's a load of hogwash. We got physically dominated. Some wizadry of "mental toughness" wouldn't have made a bean of a difference. Stop listening to the media, they mislead you to these silly conclusions.

Fehoko = Reggie Robinson. Stiff hips.
