he knows that, he is in fear that somehow we won't be able to replace Dak.More like we can't sign high price Free Agents because our QB accounts for 20% of our cap space

“Since the Ring of Honor, I am on his [Jerry Jones's] advisory board now,” Johnson said, possibly with a hint of sarcasm, on WQAM 560 AM in Miami, per the Cowboys team site. How do you know?
We weren’t signing high priced free agents before he signed his first extension. We haven’t signed a high priced free agent since Brandon Carr and he was never worth the money.More like we can't sign high price Free Agents because our QB accounts for 20% of our cap space
Yes on the coach, but also get out of the way, and shut his mouth.People say "at Jerry's age" all the time like it means anything Jerry has purposefully not done what he needs to do to win it all for almost two decades. He could have had probably 2 more rings since 2016 if he had just given up some control to a real coach. He's not worried about it now.
If the Cowboys don’t think he’s good enough to keep why would another team think he’s worth “multiple premium picks and a player or two”? Every team knows the situation Denver is in right now after pulling an ignorant stunt like that. Dak’s 360 days away from being a free agent. Since a team will have to pay him a significant amount either way, keeping your draft picks and players is worth waiting 360 days before investing in him.I have a problem with letting QB1 walk. If they're going to move on from Dak they need to facilitate a trade to maximum ROI. Letting Dude walk is a 3rd comp pick barf...while, a trade is multiple premium picks and a player or two.
we are all so desperate for some true ray of hope.Well, at least they've brought in Jimmy Johnson as an adviser. Maybe things will change after all.
but but but we are all inI don't believe they've figured it out yet. Ask Jerry, he has no clue as to why we lost.
"Earlier this week, Johnson announced that he has a new job within the Cowboys organization. "Since the Ring of Honor, I am on his [Jerry Jones'] advisory board now," Johnson said on WQAM 560 AM in Miami.Feb 21"He's not being brought in as an advisor....Jerry and Jimmy had a phone conversation after the season, nothing more...people are making way too much over a phone call...
Any clue who else is on the advisory board and if Jerry ever confers with it. Johnson was being sarcastic."Earlier this week, Johnson announced that he has a new job within the Cowboys organization. This sounds like a little more than just a phone call.
I see. I read it and took it as him being serious. Another kick in the sackAny clue who else is on the advisory board and if Jerry ever confers with it. Johnson was being sarcastic.
There is no way that they think that. The Jones have come to the same conclusion many of us fans have. Our situation is this, 1. Our QB isn't good enough to take that big of a cut of the cap space and we win a super bowl. 2. You can't field the kind of team around him to win it for the same reason. So what do you do? Resign him and continue to be mediocre, or roll the dice let him walk next year and start a soft rebuild this year? With the way they have approached Free agency so far the writing is on the wall.
Jones has been in love with Prescott since October 2016. He became similarly enamored with Romo midway through the second half of the 2006 season.I want to believe this theory but the Jones’ just seem too in love with the guy to let him go for nothing. I see a massive extension that probably has the no trade clause taken out.
Same thing people like you said to excuse Garrett’s mediocrity for years and years when some of us were begging to let him goIf they roll the dice and let him walk after next season, things will likely get much worse than they are now and that could last a number of years unless we get lucky with another QB. At Jerry’s age I’m not sure he’s going to be willing to take that gamble.
I hate to say but Jerry is all in, Dak CD, MP, that is his all in and he will be bragging at his negotiating skills and how the team is set going forward for years to come. The only question is MM no major success and he’s gone, the next HC will have to accept Dak and tell Jerry how smart he is. Same crap just another season.but but but we are all in
except that we are not
I know this sounds crazy, but there are exactly 10 top 10 qbs in this league. Dak was in the running for MVP lat year. Teams routinely burn 1st and cap on worse qbs. Maybe there's a team who believes Dak can win in the playoffs if he has a run game and a run defense. The odds are in our favor. That said the Jones boys could barely muster a 4th for a 27 year old Cooper, so yeah.If the Cowboys don’t think he’s good enough to keep why would another team think he’s worth “multiple premium picks and a player or two”? could be but the jones boys are crazy and stupid, so you never know where all this leads. The Jones have come to the same conclusion many of us fans have. Our situation is this, 1.
