Loved Romo. Jerry should be ashamed at the waste.
So that means that would also apply to how many teams have never won a Super Bowl?? I mean Dan Marino who wasted his career.

I mean has the Houston franchise at any level Oilers Texans or even now the Titans, who I know are no longer part of Houston but what if they won exactly?? Seems to me the Buffalo Bills have a whole lot of talent they wasted it I don't remember any Super Bowl wins... I mean you look at a team like the Eagles how many great players that they have and they only have one Super Bowl in 60 years so are we going to keep doing this as if our GM and our ownership somehow are alone in this? Poor insert any name for the lions franchisees...Jets? Browns?? Who wasted Randy Moss's career?

So that means every player and every quarterback for any of those franchises was wasted by their ownership and whoever their current GM's were....

I mean we hear that on this site all the time about wasted talent,

I mean are you saying that 31 teams are winning Super Bowls on a regular basis and where or not? so we're the only team that seemed to be wasting talent or we have a lot of talent on this team to be wasted it's a catch 22 I mean is our ownership and GM putting a whole lot of talent on this field that aren't delivering and yet you're going to blame the front office??

That was one of Tony's greatest plays and JJ Watt is a stone punk for wanting to injure him and break his back no player should purposely want to injure another player give him a hard hit yes but injure and break his back totally classless statement .
Tell JJ next time I see him I'm going to try and break his leg...Oh heck maybe I should tell him to his face.

Dak can’t make WRs either. This is evident in Dez, where the primary routes thrown to him were back shoulder fades and in-breaking routes.

The thing with Romo is he didn’t have WRs with top flight speed out the gates and great route runners as his top WRs. He never had a guy like CeeDee or Cooper.

JJ should have just stated something like our guys would have said. I was trying to trade jerseys with him I just wanted his autograph.

He was still a real talent whether you like it or not. Dude was a blast to watch. Not every qb has a ring. Example: Dan Marino.
Even the greatest talent in history (whoever that is) could only overcome so much. Asking a lot to overcome your own FO, coaching staff, teammates, refs (ie, Goodell goons), media & of course the opponents.

I am of two minds on the wasted career things: I do hold Jerry responsible for wasting the years with Ginger as HC.
However I look back at the great Bills team of the 90's and Kelly and all of that organization: they never won a ring but tell me they were losers.

Odd statement to make. I get wanting to make your presence felt with a good hit but to say you want to injury someone is Bill Romanowski level
Yep. Watt wasn't the only one.

Romo's cockiness and tendency to extend plays really frustrated some defensive players to no end. Those few notable times Romo got smacked into next week were followed by extremely subdued celebrations.

I recall other players saying they just wanted to lay a lick on Romo but I have nothing to back it up with. Doesn't matter anyway. He is even safe now from some viewers wanting to reach through their television screens and strangle him like Homer does Bart Simpson, lol.

Romo came up big in big moments much more then let the team down. And he did have Dez who was amazing, but also did it with Ogletree, Laurent Robinson. He also multiple games where he came back playing injured (Washington/back and San Fran/puncured lung). There is a reason he had 24 GWD from 2006-2014 (more than anyone else in the league). The guy wasn’t perfect, but damn he was fun to watch and always made you feel like the Cowboys were in the game. Jerry made his second biggest career mistake not letting Romo compete for his job in 2016 after he was healthy and I’m sure he knows that now.

A real QB with real awareness.
A real QB? He never came up with plays like that when it mattered most in the playoffs and those two season ending elimination games. We missed the playoffs 4 straight seasons with him from 2010 to 2013. He was a terrific playmaker except in the big games.

This is not a slight against Romo at all, but Terrell Owens, Terry Glenn, Miles Austin....those guys were slow and ran bad routes?

To be fair, the teams that Romo had around him (outside of 2007 and 2014) were pretty weakly constructed. Those 2010-2013 teams in particular were probably 4-6 win teams without a good QB leading the way.
