The Dak trolls are priceless, pure comedy gold. They’re getting desperate and it shows, a perfect example of their fragile state of mind is the unhinged clown who’s now threatening to find people and go pay them a visit because they refuse to worship his god. :muttley:
I Have a feeling we won't be seeing him around for a long time if ever anymore.
I mean dang just dang..............

Ok. I have to respectfully disagree that Palmer and McNair were just bus drivers.

And you pretty much said that Dak had an MVP year because the league had a down year in quarterback play, correct? Well is there any other quarterback that got MVP votes by benefiting from a "down quarterback year" before?

I've only asked because I have never heard of a player's accomplishment or milestone discredited due to some "league wide dropoff". That's interesting, I got to research that.

With that said, are there any other positions in football that had league wide dropoffs that enabled players to get MVP votes?

Yawn-these are my opinions. I did not see anything that resembled the type of play from Dak last season that would merit some next level QB realm. I saw the same guy thrash the inferior opponents like I have seen before. He’s never been some field general throwing savant like the hall of famer QB’s that filled up the ALL PRO lists since 2000 (and he never will be).

If you are upset with the label bus driver-oh well. He’s a decent/good QB that is in a different universe than those QB’s. I happen to feel that he is not very close to Matt Ryan-that would be in the hall of very good if they created such a place. Carson Palmer and Steve McNair would likely make the half of very good QB. I think Dak’s narrative would have changed if he was more successful and produced at higher levels versus the better defenses(teams) he faces.

I watched a ton of extremely sloppy play from lots of QB’s across the league. Brady has commented on it in the recent past. I felt strongly that no QB were as valuable to their team as McCaffrey or Tyreek this past season (but the MVP award goes to a QB basically every time). Pat was given a bunch of crappy receivers and held it together with duct tape (they would not have won this season without their defense dominating).

Let's observe what occurred in 2022 vs San Fran.

Yes, Dak threw a costly 2nd interception and that sucked (and I was even about to give up on him at that moment) but then so did Mahomes in the Super Bowl. And got stopped on 4th and inches from his own 10.

On those 2 drives almost looking surely like SF could've blew the game open....KC defense allows 0 points.

Cowboys defense played well overall vs SF but Mahomes and Dak had basically the same game against SF outside of the final OT drive. It was against the same team too. This should tell you everyone struggles against SAN Francisco at this critical moment of the season.

The issue was more on SFs only TD drive, things fell apart on that drive. Defense overall played well, but we had ultimate selfish me-me Diggs letting that INT fall right thru his breadbasket - and his nonchalant, non self chastising attitude afterwards like he doesnt care as long as hes paid. He could've knocked the Kittle catch loose, but he didn't even try. Why not get a McDuffie or Snead who are cheaper, better coached, and make critical plays at critical times? If you let SF have 2 extra opportunities, you get exactly what you deserved.

Fastforward 2023. Vs Green Bay at 14-0 fine. But the 3rd TD should've been stopped. Gilmore looked like he didn't know who he was supposed to cover on that 3rd TD given up. That should've been 3 instead of 7...you don't give up plays that easily. Bland gave up some dumb routes. Bell hasnt looked the same since the Buffalo game, like the wind got knocked out of his sails. Clark is just an average LB and you can't roll into the playoffs with such paltry linebackers. I get it Overshown and Vander Esch were injured, but where was the healthy Parsons? A step short and a 2nd late. Would anyone still take Parsons over Chris Jones? Everytime I open a Parsons thread here before January, people say Parsons is better. You watched the 2 Super Bowls vs San Fran and the Championship game against the Bengals.....and you'd still take Parsons??? Lol.

The defense did not improve in the 2nd half. So yes, I blame very little of Green Bay on Dak. The defense was never gonna stop sucking in order for an comeback to materialize.

In '22 you can blame a lot of it on Dak and I agree he needed one more drive and that didnt happen, but overall hes still a Top 3 QB in the league. I'm taking him over everyone except Mahomes and Burrow. Lots of sites have him in the Top 3. Certainly Top 5 based on last year. Why should I not believe what I see? Why should I not trust official publications? Why should I listen to loudmouth fans instead?
Just curious , if we cant blame everything on dak, what are we allowed to blame him for??

give us some guidelines.

Pretty brave to post Dak appreciation on this Eagle's Fan Board. LOL

Good take, BTW.

somehow maybe you forget amari cooper was brought in here as a trade.. littering turn the season around and went to the second round of the playoffs. I mean AC isnt exactly ON the level of Terrell owens, not quite the same guy but close to it...... so yes, they do bring in guys occasionally and please don't tell me that they didnt at least get good deals with hankins, cooks and gilmore..

so you try to cherry pick the last 28 years and still miss things.. now over the last three seasons what have the back-to-back super bowl champions in KC done via big trades and free agent 1st week studs?? seems to be not a lot DRAFT WELL, pay soem guys let some guys go, small trades etc.. ironic more similar to the cowboys in fact 90% of the league does it that was but the few outliers all in group who have not beat KC BTW..the 2 teams that did the most lost to team that used more of a RBBC and WRRBC and doing the least aggressive spending..hmm odd huh?

i'm not saying i'm in love with what this front office has done but you got to stop cherry picking and exaggerating. I would hope by game 1 they will make simar moves to years past and at least build contender ie the top 6 finish we have had and who knows with a little luck we go further,,

I realize they're not the most aggressive team in the league anymore but they sure have done enough to be effective... They are not the worst front office in the league not even close to it...
I'm cherry picking? Cooper is the only example. He's the outlier. Anything else the Cowboys do is usually for players that are cheap and well past their prime.

Dak was annihalated by the 49ers THIS year and had loads of practice against them. Instead of taking the next step, he sucked even more.

The last two drives against SF, Mahomes leads the 49ers to a FG to tie the game and then has a game winning TD in OT, AFTER the 49ers scored a FG. He went 7-7 and had a 19 yard scramble that was insane. The Chiefs were down 10-3 and Mahomes led them 22 points in the second half. Unless Dak is playing out in front, he’s contributing by throwing pick 6s.

Mahomes was the MVP of the playoffs and is either in the conference championship or SB every year. He’s won with mediocre defenses and great defenses.

Please never post again.
It's blasphemy...and right after Easter!
