Ritchie Blackmore is one of my favorite guitar players.

Me too along with Tommy Bolin, another DP alumni.

I still have quite a few Deep Purple vinyl albums stored away in plastic sleeves. Can't remember how may. I do know I have "Machine Head" and the double live import album "Made in Japan".

Also a few of Ritchie Blackmore's albums, actually Rainbow albums, Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow with "Man on the Silver Mountain" song, and "Rainbow Rising".

A dark room, a good buzz, and Sweet Child In Time is a great way to kill 17:25 minutes.

This was released in 1985. My sophomore year in high school. I became a Deep Purple fan then. I wasn't aware of their earlier work at the time but it was also greatness.

Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow with Ronnie James Dio was absolute perfection.

Absolutely.

Deep Purple and Blackmore was so killer.
So many good songs.
Even though they get praised, just seems like they deserve more than they get. I think too many just know smoke on the water. And sure if you played rock guitar it was probably one of the first riffs you learn. But for me they have many other songs I like better.
