Parsons having fun with a few current and former NFL players

As I said in another thread on this subject, these things happen to other players that the same thing is said about.

T.J. Watt has has 6 solo tackles, 2 assists, 1.0 sack and 1 fumble recovery in 3 games in the playoffs in his career. Micah has 8 solo tackles, 10 assists and 1.0 sack in 4 games in the playoffs in his career. You look like you play your best when nothing's on the line until you don't and that narrative goes away.

I understand the criticism, but the NFL is a tough game. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, no matter how good you are. I remember plenty of games, for instance, when Tyron Smith shut down some of the top pass rushers in the league. It happens.

You left out that he only has four QB hits. He’s being put in a position to get to the QB and he’s not getting home in the playoffs. The caliber player is he needs to show up big in postseason. He’s not elevating our defense in those games. With the contract he’s looking for he needs to be a lot better when it matters most.

Not saying he doesn't. Just saying other top players fit the same narrative because getting to the QB against top teams isn't easy. Those teams are also in the playoffs for a reason. Players also are generally more beat up by the time the playoffs roll around and may have injuries slowing them down. I know in the first playoff game against San Fran, Parsons suffered a concussion and kind of disappeared after that.

The contract he's looking for isn't going to be based on his performance in four playoff games. It's going to be based on him being one of the best defenders in the game since he came into the league. Of course, with our fans, he's going to get the Ware treatment here.

The same thing was said about Ware until he went to Denver, had a complete team around him and helped the Broncos win a Super Bowl.

I don’t remember him ever getting close to Jordan Love. He was a complete no-show against a 9 win team. The big problem that everyone notices with Parsons is he runs out of gas later in the season. His sack totals and the number of plays he makes starts decreasing by December. He didn’t show up in any of our big games last season. These are things that you have to look at when considering making him the highest paid defensive player in the league. He may be looking for close to $40 million per season.

I don't give a darn about what other players on other teams do, nor using them as excuses for our own players' failures. Watt's problems are for the Steelers fans to worry about.

"Hey, this guy is under performing too," is not an excuse for Micah to disappear in the playoffs.

Micah is still playing college football seasons.

He's even better after the game when he's fighting through double teams to get to the player he wants to beg for their jersey!!
 
..sounds like he's still working on his self product. You know, "It's me, Mr football specialist". I play for the most popular sports franchise money can buy.

He'll be pouting on the sidelines again, when a rookie puts him on his arse. ;)..
