8 QBs Now Make At Least $50 Million. Lets Look At Their Playoff Records

If that's the truth then this thread belongs in the NFL zone. Mods please move this thread.
The thread is 100% about Dak. The list is merely trying to show that Dak, a playoff loser, deserves to make as much or more than the other playoff losers on the list.

Agreed but the OP claims it's not about Dak, but NFL QBs in general. To call his bluff I claimed this thread should be moved then.

What the hell does any of that have to do with this thread..................this is looking at the playoff records of the 8 highest paid QBs currently in the NFL.

If you are trying to make this somehow about Dak, move on, this aint a Dak thread..........nowhere was Dak even mentioned in this thread so move on bro if that is what you want to discuss.
Someone got upset

Most of those are their first big contracts. Dak already got his big contract and in the three successive playoffs during it has played average to mediocre. Dak had multiple chances to show if he was worth an extension and has come up short.

So, there are currently 8 QBs who make at least $50 million a year.............lets take a look at what these 8 guys have done in the playoffs.

Burrow (55).........lost a SB
Lawrence (55)........has 1 career playoff win, if you can even call it that (threw 4 picks in that win)
Love (55)................has 1 career playoff win, you guessed it, the curb stomping of Dallas.
Tua (53)..................has 0 career playoff wins
Goff (53)..............lost a SB
Herbert (52)............has 0 career playoff wins
Lamer (52).............has reached Conference Finals and lost
Hurts (51).............lost a SB

1. Out of these 8 guys, only three have ever made it to a SB and they all lost (Burrow, Goff, Hurts).
2. One guy has made it to the Conference Title Game and he lost (Lamar Jackson)
3. Two guys have exactly 1 career playoff victory in Love and Lawrence, but Lawrence needs an * because he threw 4 picks in that "playoff win".
4. The other two guys have put up goose eggs in the playoffs, Tua and Herbert.

I think this thread clearly demonstrates that playoff success is not a requirement to be among the highest paid QBs in the league.
This demonstrates nothing lol. If the Cowboys wanna pay Dak, they're gonna do it regardless of any other QBs stats. If not then bye bye.

How strong was their surrounding cast?
How many playoff wins do they have?
Herbert has had absolutely horrible surrounding casts but clearly if he had better talent, the skills are there, so pay is based on skills more than records.
Poor Herbert!

He's only had Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Josh Palmer, Austin Ekeler and Gerald Everett, not to mention 1st-round pick WR Quentin Johnston.

Herbert can't win because Herbert's not a winner. Cute excuse.

Mahomes and Burrow are the only two QBs that can "single-handedly" win games. Mahomes is not on the list and I'm not totally sure about Burrow, although he did have that Super Bowl run and has seemingly made Cincinnati good. Maybe some of the others can do it now and then--Allen (not on the list), Herbert, and Jackson. Lawrence, Love, Tua, and Hurts cannot. Goff seems like an outlier. I don't think he wins games on his own but he has had playoff success and with Detroit to boot. I guess if this is not about Dak then the conclusion is there is no rhyme or reason why QBs get paid or don't.

And ZERO OL, defensive support, horrible OC in Lombardi.
Minor details..
Kellen Moore was the OC. Who everyone here said was going to look like a genius with Herbert…. Minor detail. Herbert has all of the tools, i would trade Dak for him in a heartbeat. But using him as an example is just lazy because he just hasn’t been that great. Especially in the playoffs. Didn’t he throw 3-4 picks with a 20 plus point lead to lose to Jacksonville?

It has a lot to do with it. Some of these guys are really young, such as Love and Tua, so it’s kind of hard to compare their short careers with a guy who has been in the league a decade.

The best part of this is you lecturing someone about not making it a Dak thread when you were the one who made it about Dak right from the start. Hahahaha.

Even worse, it's a detriment.

Only way you can pay a QB huge is to do what KC did, sign him to a 10 year deal and then renegotiate and keep a kickin' da can.

Come on this is just another pay Dak thread. We get it you don’t care about winning in the playoffs but saying this isn’t a Dak thread is the height of hypocrisy

Front offices understand that it's a team game. Unlike fans, they do not hold their quarterbacks completely responsible for playoff success. They know that NFL history shows you can win with less than what they have at the position if you build a good team around the QB. Only fans and media judge QBs completely off playoff success or failure.

He can't handle it. Dak lives in his head 24/7. This thread destroys his Dak hatred.

Just because other teams make bad decisions doesn’t mean the cowboys should follow suit.

I’m not saying don’t resign Dak, but I wouldn’t sign a team crippling market setting deal. If he will take a Jared Goff type of extension I’d be all for it. If he needs burrow numbers I’d accept the risk of letting him walk.

lol. Herbert gets all of the excuses I see.

Man had Keenan allen, mike Williams and Austin ekeler. That’s a pretty good supporting cast in offense. Just watching the game against Dallas alone he missed Allen wide open multiple times. That’s just one game
Herbert hardly had all 3 of those players on the field at the same time over the past few years.
We seen SF and how they lost 3 straight games without Deebo and CMC on the field, either one or both.

Not an excuse, just pointing that out, it still takes a team.
