Growing up I always remember I pretty much had to defend myself as a Cowboy fan. Being a Cowboys fan was easy. They were awesome. Then came the 90s. People would roll their eyes sure you are a life long Cowboys fan. It was an embarrassment of riches. There was a measure of guilt associated with it. Now the reaction is totally different. People are impressed when I admit that I am a Cowboys fan. There is a level of shamefulness to it now that makes it somewhat respectable. Like being a fan of the Browns. No one questions it at all. Why would I say such a thing if it was not true. It’s hard, real hard to root for the Cowboys. Disappointments aside Jerry Jones is such a louse it is hard to see him happy. Plus his recent gaslighting of the fans is a whole new level of dirtbag. It’s hard. I still root for them because I know there are good fans out there that deserve a win.
