Boys restructure Steele contract saving 4.5 million

lol.. they just signed the largest non qb, and largest player contract in NFL HISTORY... and they are cheap?
They could have been re-signed non-QB and QB, but they have a philosophy about waiting until the lasting minutes.
They sign the core player they really want to re-sign.

You can rollover 100% of what is under the cap. The issue is you have to spend something like 90% of the cap so the max is something like 10% of the salary cap so about $25M. It’s my guess also they are just looking to rollover as close to $25M as they can. So if they get to $25M they won’t redo anymore contacts.
Gotcha. Not saying it’s the wrong move, just that usually restructures are about making immediate cap room and paying for it later, but I don’t understand doing it to roll it over.

Seems to be contradictory unless they are leaving open the possibility of an acquiring a top player before the deadline.

you all keep saying they waited till the last minute, but you fail to recognize and accept that the players agents arent stupid. They had ZERO reason to sign early. ZERO, ZERO, ZERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I think this is just a cap management move.

That being said. One thing I would love is a trade for a RB.

Get us a great RB and the offense would be unstoppable.

If Jerry offered Dak 60 million the deal would’ve been done. If he offered Lamb 34 it would’ve been done.

put out a name please. I agree, if we could trade for Eric Dickerson, Id be all for it. So put out some names.

60 million.... you mean what he signed for? Did Dak hold out? Did dak miss anytime?

34 million vs 35 million? bahahahhahahhahahaahha

Boys restructure Steele save 4.5 million with boys having about 22 million restructuring ceedee and Dak's what are the boys up to
That’s very interesting. I don’t know if it’s just a procedural thing already worked in the contract or if it’s meant to free up space for an acquisition. Either way

And Zach Martin, and Tyron Smith, and Demarcus Lawrence, and Ezekiel Elliot, and Daron Bland, and Brandin Cooks, and Jake Ferguson

Lots of potential contracts next offseason
Now you’re really getting desperate after seeing the Cowboys dismantle Cleveland while Hurts and Sirianni continue their issues.

Between the deals CeeDee signed, Dak signed, and Steele being restructured we could have upgraded at RB and a few other positions...

I honestly don’t know a specific name. I’m not attacking the FO for not doing it. I’m not really sure who the RB that’s a trade target contract wide would be.

I just think it is a major piece that would help the team. Just saying.
