A few other positions? Like what? They have a damn good roster.
Get a top defensive end opposite Parsons so they can't double team or triple team Parsons if you get another top defensive end then who is the opposing team going to block, our defense then would be nasty, then I would go get a decent running back to help Dak,

Another WR, depth at OT, a starter at DT...I like Joseph but ideally I'd take someone better, depth at DE
They are pretty deep at receiver. They have a good one that was inactive against the Browns. They actually upgraded when they let Gallup go. There is a shortage league wide at offensive tackle. Our ace in the hole is that in an emergency Tyler Smith can move out to tackle.

There must be some sort of restriction on what can be rolled over.

Anyone know the actual rules?

Why is restructuring to rollover a better move than just leaving it as is?
Move the debt into the end of the contract, usually in voidable years

Anyone pay attention to how Steele played Sunday? Coming off injury he didn’t play well early last year but seemed better later in the year

what are they going to do DURING the season?
There is no reason to do this at this point. They have plenty of cap space to do whatever they may want. They need to get cap hits off the books, not kick them into outer years. Steele is a guy that was bad last year. If he isn’t better this year, he is a candidate to possibly be cut. So, why we are restructuring him is confusing.

A dominant DT, another edge who can rush the QB, a swing Tackle. Also we shall see at WR. Personally I’m intrigued by Flournoy but do we have a good enough #3? I’m not sure. I like Tolbert but every year supposedly will be the year he steps up and so far he hasn’t been good enough. You can always make your team better In the NFL. I’d hate to think a team that fails as horribly as we do in the playoffs every year is content with their roster and isn’t trying to improve it. I’ve been saying all off-season I think this is the year we make a major trade deadline acquisition and I still think we will.

He actually played pretty well. Much better than the beginning of last season.

He was coming off a late season ACL the year before and it took time for him to get back in the swing of things. However, what nobody talked about last year was that he also was learning a new OL system in 2023 while coming back from injury, as well.

The knee + learning Solari’s inside zone system = a steep learning curve for him last year. It was a lot to ask of him to not miss a beat.

Now, after playing all of 2023, this year’s OTA’s and preseason, as well as another year removed from the injury, he looks like a different player than he did in the first half of last year.

It is good news for Dallas and is really nice to see.

mayb ebecause they dont think a young player like Steels is nearly as bad as you think. How many sacks did steele give up Sunday>? I know Martin got Dak hit as hard as he has been hit in a long time on Sunday.

I honestly don’t know a specific name. I’m not attacking the FO for not doing it. I’m not really sure who the RB that’s a trade target contract wide would be.

I just think it is a major piece that would help the team. Just saying.
It is just really rare to trade for a RB in season that ever makes a difference. Id like to see our RBs and see what they can do.

Miles Sanders is one.
Sanders was atrocious last year. Now Im not saying he might not be a decent player for us, but not based upon last year. I also assume he has a decent contract. Not something we want to take on.

Maybe you need to reread what I just wrote because it seems you either didn't read it or didn’t understand it

no... I read what you wrote, I understand what you wrote, and like I said... maybe they disagree with your assessment on Steele.

first off the point was why restructure anyone right now, there is no reason.

But, since you are dwelling on Steele….So you disagree that Steele was bad last year?
