We can expect a rough game but if all goes well, a victory isn't out of question.

This game might demand everyone to pull together and give them all we have.

Much will depend upon whether or not we're able to mount a potent pass rush.

They scored only 16 vs the Bucs and only 20 vs the Cards.
They are not exactly the greatest show on turf.
That may be true, but I have to remind fans that most teams haven't hit their stride yet. It is still too soon to extrapolate anything about any team at this point. Some teams get out of the gate faster than others. I would rather be in Detroit's position whereby you start slow, but as the season progresses your team continues to get better. I am not convinced that the Vikings and Commanders are as good as their records - we shall see. Still a lot of football left.

I’m not normally a hater of other teams because I have plenty of animosity for my own team, but Detroit is so lame for holding on to the game last year that didn’t even really impact them in the grand scheme of things. Not to mention the fact that they always conveniently leave of the full context of them getting away with a favorable call. All their success recently and they’re worried about our team. Yawn

There's a chance that the Lions offense could come out fired up in a similar way the Saints offense did against our defense. But outside of the Seahawks game, their offense hasn't been scoring a high amount of points. The Lions are with the majority of the other teams right now in the NFC currently in playoff contention. What they have all shown so far is that they are all beatable under certain game circumstances. Making the NFC wide open. As there isn't a team week in and week out who has dominated games on both sides of the ball.

Commanders and Vikings look the best for now. But the Commanders defense was ranked 30th and we don't know how long Sam Darnold can keep up his play before coming back down to earth a little. The NFC is wide open this season but we have to see if the Cowboys have enough to take advantage of that.

They have had this game circled as soon as the schedules ame out. They really want to play us due to what happened last year. I remember their DE Hutchinson saying that they wanted to play Dallas in the playoffs bad. That being said, it would be nice to see us come out and put them behind the 8 ball early. I have a good feeling about us this week.
Dallas-23
Detroit-19
I absolutely love how they take ZERO responsibility for trying to muddy the water and circumvent the rules. When their cheap play didn't go as planned they still had another opportunity and blew it. They also completely ignore the fact we got screwed on a tripping call, when driving the ball, when their player tripped us, the drive before! They wouldn't have even had the opportunity to try to cheat.

Screw them and their delusional fan base. They are losers and have been nothing more since Barry left. He retired when he did for a reason.

This game with the Lions is a true team builder and fully what the Cowboys need to face, here and now. Dallas by 10.

I can't imagine a scenario where we contain their weapons unless they have some key injuries I am unaware of.

They will probably dial up a trick play or two as payback for last year.

Wouldn't surprise me if they win by 30.

Yep, they'll be motivated for sure.
But from my Dallas homer perception is that Detroit's offensive playmakers are far superior to the Steelers but their defense is not as good as Pittsburgh.

So from that perspective I hope we could win a high scoring/shootout type offensive game.

3rd down consistency, less penalties and continued run game improvement would all contribute to helping this offense win in a shootout.
But Im not feeling confident cuz I think we end up kicking field goals yet again because of the aforementioned problems that have plagued us.

Hope and fingers crossed for a shootout win though.

Win or lose, this would be a great week to send a third string LB on a mission to snap one of string bean Goffs twiggy legs. That way, Team Tough Guy Detroit can understand what it's like to play severely undermanned. Then the Lions can circle this game on their calendar for NEXT yr too.

i'm sure dallas wants this game just as much.
we out played them last year yet all anyone wants to talk about is the lions ineptness at checking in with officials.
if hutchinson gets called for tripping on the pollard play...the final sequence might not have occured...and if quinn hadn't gone in prevent mode.
the lions showed no resistence at all against our offense that night.
with :36 still on the clock...its likely we win the game any way with a late score.
but i don't expect dallas to get any credit for how well they played that night vs a good lions team.
it's more "ball don't lie...blah blah blah".
fast forward to sunday...the lions def is not good vs the pass.
that is the strength of our offense.
there will be opportunities thru the air vs the lions d.
i like our chances on sunday.
30-27 dallas.

sure but that not how it works games tend to unfold however it flows. Usually, all that hype fades after 5mins into it.. but beware coming in emotionally overcharged to try to beat someone. Make it personal and you can lose...

I wouldn't be crowning the Vikings just yet. They still have to play Green Bay again and Love should be healthier the second time around plus they also have two games against the Lions and even the Bears look tough. If I recall, last season we had pretty much accepted that we were going to be wildcard team because the Eagles started out like 10-2 before their precipitous free fall the last month of the season. I still think Detroit wins the division barring any significant injuries.
but the good thing is they can beat each other up...:)) when we get past game game nine, that's when the teams who they really are start to show good bad or ugly..the pretenders start slipping.

Our offense is going to win this game
100%.
lions d give up alot of pass yds and are ranked 23rd in opp. possession per game.
there will be alot of opportunities against this vaunted...vastly superior...unscored upon lions myth.

If Detroit comes out aggressive, which seems likely, they probably batter the crud out of us. We Need to make it a football game and not a war, we are too soft for combat.
yes the lions are better than Pittsburg on O. but same stuff was said about Pittsburgh, we would lose big..hmm

by the way i predict our team will finally step up with provide to win at HOME.. they will be tired of being disrespected at home and use this game to prove point. so we have a mission as well.. Our offense has played better since the Ravens game and believe clean up mistakes and we can be back where we were last year.. we are just now finding ourselves.

Lions coming off a bye and pretty healthy. Dallas coming off a game that ended in the morning hours on the road and pretty banged up. Not the best of scenarios but there aren't any excuses in the NFL. It's a league of attrition and if you can't overcome injuries, you aren't going to fare well and no one is feeling sorry for you. Hopefully we can establish any sort of run game to keep the defense off the field and keep the chains moving. And to keep from being so predictable passing everyb down.

While the defense did play well last week, they need to make some bigger plays against Detroit. Force some turnovers. They gave Fields a ton of time but he isn't good so it didn't bite them. Goff can. But Goff will also give you the opportunity to turn him over if you take advantage.

Offense going to need more points than it has gotten the last few weeks, too.

The Cowboys have the same playoff problem this season as the Lions do. Both teams have a divisional foe ahead of them in the standings. So each team knows their path to the playoff is most likely as a wild card team rather than a division champion. That makes winning this game even more important because they are directly competing for one of only three wild card slots in the playoffs. Currently, the Lions would have the 5 seed in the playoffs while the Cowboys would hold the 7 seed. There is still plenty of time for both teams to better themselves but it's good to remember that this game is potentially a tiebreaker to determine who qualified for the NFC Playoff tournament.
I think both the Lions and the Cowboys don’t feel like they‘re only wild card teams. It’s only been 5 games. Cowboys are only 1 game out of first and the Lions only a half game out.
