Buzzsaw game. This team is relaxed and feeling good and Detriot is smarting from last year's "robbery". Coaching game IMO.

You could see MM really got the team up for going back to Pittsburgh...it was personal. I think the Lions feel that way about this game. What better way to make a statement than to destroy the Cowboys?

They have had this game circled as soon as the schedules ame out. They really want to play us due to what happened last year. I remember their DE Hutchinson saying that they wanted to play Dallas in the playoffs bad. That being said, it would be nice to see us come out and put them behind the 8 ball early. I have a good feeling about us this week.

You do know Detroit has a lot of rivals bigger than Dallas, yes?

They have nearly century-old rivalries with Minn, GB, and Chi.

A match up with a 3-2 team playing average football that isn't in their division isn't something the Lions would be peeking at a month in advance, over and above any other team on their schedule.

More Jerry-esque mindset: THE WHOLE WORLDNIS THINKING ABOUT ME ME ME! EVERYONE WE'RE ALL ANYONE THINKS ABOUT!!!

They scored only 16 vs the Bucs and only 20 vs the Cards.
They are not exactly the greatest show on turf.
Exactly. This Lions team is vastly overrated. Capable? Yes. But the sum of the parts is greater than the team.

Dallas was the better team last year. Forget the 2pt nonsense etc: the better team won.

I suspect we will have our best Offensive performance of the season on Sunday and the Defense is playing as a unit.

Cowboys, 30-26.

Dating back to their first game last season, the Lions are 7-3 on the road, 8-3 at home. Although they have great fans and crowds at their stadium, they are consistent in their performance when they travel.

The fact that three of their first four games were at home and they are coming of a bye means that they are probably the most refreshed team playing next Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys are hobbling into the game and it would be difficult for some young players not to look ahead to the bye. They have to resist the urge and focus on a game with heavy playoff implications should the Cowboys be that fortunate.

The Lions trade with the Rams may some day be regarded on the same level as the Hershel Walker trade that helped build a three time Super Bowl championship team.

The Lion's 4 drafts from 2020 to 2023 yielded 6 #1 picks, including a #2, #3, and #7 overall pick. They also had 6 #2 draft picks and 7 #3 draft picks.

Six of the eighteen players taken with these picks are Pro Bowlers. Eleven of them are starters.

Of the seven non-starters, one is Pro Bowler Jamyr Gibbs, part of a lethal RB tandem along with Montgomery. Four others are important rotational D-linemen. One is a backup QB.

All are still playing on rookie contracts this season.

There is no doubt that this team is firmly committed to winning the Super Bowl for the first time in their franchise's history....this season. I'm sure they feel it is the best opportunity any team can get in these days of salary caps and draft structure.

They come to AT&T stadium with additional incentive, justified or not. They do not simply wish to defeat the Cowboys, they intend to be ruthless.

How do the Cowboys respond to this? The situation is another "character" challenge. The outcome of this game will be determined by both lines. Once again, an undermanned D-line and banged up O-line will be required to play beyond their perceived capabilities.

Optimistically, this is an opportunity for new heroes to emerge or old heroes to prove they will not end their careers quietly.

If Detroit comes out aggressive, which seems likely, they probably batter the crud out of us. We Need to make it a football game and not a war, we are too soft for combat.
Teams do not come anymore physical than Pittsburg!

If we have a good game plan on both sides of the ball physically we should be fine.

Don't be silly, silly lad.
EVERY team and fanbase has us circled!
We are, for better or worse, The Cowboys, the most envied, beloved, hated team in the world.

Regardless what happened to Detroit in that game they went farther than we did. If there’s any team they want to get back at it’s San Francisco.

Careful, bro. They rolled for 820 total yards and 49 first downs in those two games you mentioned. If Detroit wasn't a flukey 1-7 in the Red Zone against TB...they'd be undefeated right now.

The Lions dont' seek to be a passing circus show. They run and pass equally well, and can hurt you this way...or that.

I could easily see the Lions putting 35-40 points on us. Just say'n.
