In my opinion it boils down to us scoring TDs and not field goals. They're gonna score but their defense can be had through the air.
If we hafta settle for 3s we'll lose.

It's really as simple as that to me.

Additionally, an effective run game by us would help tremendously toward offensive success.

I know, real Captain Obvious stuff here but sometimes it's pretty simple.

Well, Goff can only play worse than he did in his last game lol

Gotta hope the team is amped up to be at home after a gutsy W in Pitt.

Can the running game build on what was happening Sun night? Can Dak dial it in and eliminate the mistakes? Can the offense avoid the slow starts, penalties, and sloppy execution?

Many are resolved to a L in this game. After watching the D step it up the last two games— I think Dallas has a decent shot to upset the Lions.

In a weird way, the bye week may help Dallas in two ways:

1. The bye for the Lions may actually serve to slow them down a bit considering the momentum they had going.

2. Dallas is looking ahead to a much needed bye, so the timing may help them focus and dial it in as no team wants to head to a bye lingering on a L

Er, yeah. I would suggest that at no point in those previous meetings were Detroit playing at the level they are currently. Also, we have a bunch of injuries and our own form is probably best described as inconsistent.

In truth, Dallas are 5-0 with Prescott as starting QB. Wins and or losses are a team stat.

As much as I believe we can win on Sunday, it will be our hardest game so far this season.

Lost to bucs.

Barely beat a bad rams team.

Beat the cardinals by 7.

Scored 42 on the seahawks but gave up 29 points and 395 passing yards to Gino Smith.

I dont think they are exactly setting the NFL on fire.

Winnable game but with our injuries on defense it will be tough.

This is how you post. State your case, short and sweet, drop mic.
Well done.

Agree with OP but this is NOT the same Lions team from the past and we have some key injuries. This is one I will be more surprised/happy by a win than disappointed by a loss.

If our DL allows Goff to get comfortable in the pocket, he'll be sure to make life miserable for our defense. His passing ability is outstanding if he's allowed enough time to perform comfortably. Conversely, if our pass rush is good enough to disturb his comfort level, constant pressure will make life very difficult for him to run our defense ragged. Rushing him in a persistent manner makes a world of difference. It's really a must.

For what it's worth, our defense has given up 329 yards per game and 14 tds.

Our next 5 opponents defenses:

Lions: 349, 9 tds
49ers: 307, 11 tds
Falcons: 335, 10 tds
Eagles: 365, 10 tds
Texans: 274, 13 tds

How good has Detroit been up to this past season? Dak might be 5-0 against them, but this could be the best Detroit team he has faced. I would argue they haven't fielded a team this good since the 1990's.

It's not worth much...different players, schemes, pregame meals, socks and jocks. I hope Dak kept his jock and socks from the last 5 Detroit games! Lol

Good morning, Sunshine! You would argue anything that speaks positive about Dak. Carry on...LOL
