Use Duece like Darren Sproles

Will someone on this coaching staff PLEASE watch tape of Sproles. Then, implement some plays designed for Duece. He has all the same skill sets. Here’s a thought… maybe think outside the box and have Luepke and Duece in the backfield… give it to either, screen to either.. we need creative mis matches. Another jet sweep or curl route and my head will explode.

Deuce is just wasting a roster spot. We’re 6 games into the season and he’s only carried the ball 7 times for 20 yards, averaging 2.9.

And in the 2 years he has been in the league, he has done nothing with his opportunities. He falls down as soon as he is touched. I don't care what he did in college, we aren't talking about playing in college. He has not shown anything at the pro level to warrant his spot on this or any other roster. Lots and Lots of college players look great in college, dominant even but fail in the big boy league.

Not even close to the same player.

Duece might be a great in SF if he is not touched for the first 3.5 yards.

We need Marion Barber, who can brake tackles when he gets first touched 1 yard behind the line of scrimmage.

What we're doing isn't working, so anything is worth giving a try.

I get it and agree if you are going to use deuce it needs to be on the edges and out in space so he can try to shake a defender. But that still requires better blocking than what this group has shown. At this point i'd rather use Leupke and line him up everywhere, TE, HB, FB, OL, etc do that without changing personnel and hopefully catch the defense in a mismatch unable to substitute. But also the best 3rd down play they have is CD on a slant route over the middle, makes it hard to focus on almost anyone else.

I said he has the same skil set. Small. Shifty, good pass catcher. Try and keep up.

He doesn't just fall down when he is touched he gets blown back like 3 yards.

Deuce is about 15% of the player Sproles was.

He should be on the PS. He was drafted bc it was a nice human interest story with hopes he could become a nice change of pace back.

He hasn’t developed. This team is terrible at keeping players beyond where they should have been cut.

Guys like Deuce keep the team from churning the roster and improving a much needed position.

I agree. We should use Vaughn like Sproles. It needs to be shown once and for all that Vaughn is no Sproles. Then when we cut him there will be no rueage. And when he goes unsigned, we wont get flooded with "Deuce is available, sign him" threads
