We're already on record saying this year's RB class is deepest in many years and Auburn's Jarquez Hunter might be most of that group. While he doesn't have much shake or wiggle, Hunter's compact frame, burst thru hole, & contact strength make him no fun to tackle.
@jarquezhunter
, who had career-high 278 yards last Saturday and is averaging career-best 7.2 ypc ( !), is on-pace to finish as fourth-leading rusher in
@AuburnFootball
history behind only Bo Jackson, Cadillac Williams, and James Brooks. That's pretty good company right there.

Hunter is EXTREMELY underrated - and, he's got low mileage (only 472 carries as of today). So is Kaleb Johnson from Iowa (another low mileage guy with only 414 carries as of today).

OK...here we go

1. Ashton Jeanty | Boise State 2. Nick Singleton | Penn State 3. Quinshon Judkins | Ohio State 4. TreVeyon Henderson | Ohio State 5. Omarion Hampton | North Carolina 6. Dylan Sampson | Tennessee 7. Devin Neal | Kansas 8. Woody Marks | USC 9. RJ Harvey | UCF 10. Kaytron Allen | Penn State

That I think is what happened with Zeke. He had like 1800 carries I think in College. A back just has so many in him; outside of freaks like Peterson and Frank Gore I think it maxes out at 4000. IF you look at Zeke, that is about where he fell off the cliff.
That and age also. Henry I think has maybe one more year before he is sinking.
So getting a low mileage RB is your best bet out of college.

Jeanty is such a stud that I'm not upset with him in 1, but there really is just a ton of solid players in this class.

Kaleb Johnson and Omarion Hampton are a couple of my favorites. Ollie Gordon didn't have a great start to the year but maybe he bounces back.

I'd honestly like one RB in the first 3 rounds and another late if we don't sign someone at least of the Zach Moss level in FA... again.

You really think zeke had 1800 carries in college?? He had less than 600.

Nicholas Singleton will be available to Dallas round one without a trade up . With so much need on the defensive side of the ball wait until round 3 take Dylan Sampson Tenn .

With hopefully improving OL play with the rookies getting better and better offer Dowdle a team friendly deal to couple him as a compliment to Sampson. And of course Leupke should be part of a backfield plan with probably new coaches .

+1 .....Stephen has mentioned wanting a "big back" in the past. So I see them going after a 3-down type....

All throughout the history of the Dallas Cowboys, Their greatest success has come with a great starting RB.
RBs aren't a dime a dozen
This isn't a passing league.
Get your stud RB even if it's in the 1st round.

That has been true for us; our first SB win had three excellent banks in Thomas, Hill and Garrison.
Then of course our next one had a HOF as well as of course our last three all a HOF RB.
BUT on the other hand you notice that KC had not had one; to be blunt who has won a SB with a TOP RB in the last ten to fifteen years? AND yes it is a passing league; just not as much a one as some here claim.
IF you want to win it all you need a running game that takes the pressure off of the QB. You need a running game to take time off the clock to rest your D.
Personally I think you can do that without a RB taken in the first RD. When was the last 1 RD RB to win a ring?

Tahj Brooks at Tech is a bulldozer. Would love to get him late and a speedster early. Jeanty is just a dream. We need a overhaul.
