That has been true for us; our first SB win had three excellent banks in Thomas, Hill and Garrison.
Then of course our next one had a HOF as well as of course our last three all a HOF RB.
BUT on the other hand you notice that KC had not had one; to be blunt who has won a SB with a TOP RB in the last ten to fifteen years? AND yes it is a passing league; just not as much a one as some here claim.
IF you want to win it all you need a running game that takes the pressure off of the QB. You need a running game to take time off the clock to rest your D.
Personally I think you can do that without a RB taken in the first RD. When was the last 1 RD RB to win a ring?
Go back 50 years ago and compare the run/pass ratio as compared today. There is very little difference.

You didn't look. The run/pass ratio is basically the same.
I did look; you think that having a lot more plays means nothing.

And Yards per play is also a critical number. Which play gets you more yards? Passing or running?
you are trying to cherry pick numbers and that never works

Absolutely no reason not to pick up one in the 2nd because they’ll be there

Hopefully we have high enough draft position so we can draft a back in 2nd/3rd round range. Personally I like the juice that Henderson from Ohio State has. Plus his careers are limited. The Boise State kid carries the ball to much for my liking.Great class overall.

looking at this class there are ten backs I would be happy to have. One of them should be available in the fifth

If the class is as good as they say there will be a run on the backs starting in the 2nd round. Maybe some guys go early in the first as well. If the top 10 backs are as good as you think, none will make it to the 5th round. Look at this last draft, all gone by the end of the 4th round and the class was mediocre.

wrong. There simply is not the need for that many backs that teams are going to spend high picks on them. RB has been very much devalued and teams will not spend the draft capital on them they used to. I see only two taken in the first at most. And the last draft only had maybe a most half as many really good backs. IF that. fourth rd there will be several left I have no doubt of that.

Nicholas Singleton will be available to Dallas round one without a trade up . With so much need on the defensive side of the ball wait until round 3 take Dylan Sampson Tenn .

With hopefully improving OL play with the rookies getting better and better offer Dowdle a team friendly deal to couple him as a compliment to Sampson. And of course Leupke should be part of a backfield plan with probably new coaches .
Rico has shown he can be a good complementary back and pairing him with a homerun-type should work.

Rico and a young draft pick on a rookie deal who’s a HR threat plus an UDFA as third option with Leupke the battering Ram addresses the RB situation . Please no more vet FA pick ups with high mileage .

With the 43rd pick in the 2025 NFL draft, the Dallas Cowboys select, Ashton Jeanty RB Boise State University.

A lot can change, but I don’t see how he makes it past the teens.

With the emergence of running backs this season, I think teams will be looking to draft higher

Always tough to do this but who’s the first team to do it? Did this last year and at best I had maybe someone in the teens. Them Gibbs and Bijan goes. Bijan to the Falcons shocked me.

Watched Ollie Gordon in person tonight and didn’t see anything special. He’s definitely bigger than I thought but he was brought down by ankle tackles by DBs multiple times.

Wonder if they wore him out last year and this year. OKST has nothing else. He looks done. Still put up good numbers but wasn’t impressive. Zeke post 2020 2.0
