I already looked up the last 50 years of stats. They are basically the same.
and I keep reminding them that because there are so many plays and the game is so different that stats like that are
MEANINGLESS

Stephen Jones wants a "big running back" in Zeke mode........well this is one

I love shorter RBs; I think its always a big plus. They are harder to see for the LBs behind tall OLinemen

With a RB the first thing I look for is vision. Then can they take a pounding.

This guy will probably be at the senior bowl or shrine bowl.
He is a legit 3rd down back and if the Cowboys draft two backs, he would be my favorite for the 3rd down back role.
If he is still there in the 5th round, I'd do that. He is a Kick Returner as well.

I'd prefer to not spend a top 5-7 pick on a RB unless you're telling me he's some generational talent like Adrian Peterson or something. In a strong RB draft, you should be able to get a good immediate starter in early Round 2.

Jeanty is BPA in the 5 to 7 range.

Jeanty is such a stud that I'm not upset with him in 1, but there really is just a ton of solid players in this class.

Kaleb Johnson and Omarion Hampton are a couple of my favorites. Ollie Gordon didn't have a great start to the year but maybe he bounces back.

I'd honestly like one RB in the first 3 rounds and another late if we don't sign someone at least of the Zach Moss level in FA... again.
Im only spending a top 5 pick on a running back if its Adrian Peterson

I would hope we can trade down if we end up top 5. Lot of terrible teams this year. If I had to guess we pick around 7 or 8 and could get Jeanty with a trade down to around 10-12.

I would rather get a RB in round 2 or 3 if we can grab someone like Omarion Hampton or Kaleb Johnson.

3rd is probably the earliest I’d take one…but still not my preference.

100% agree…usually the RB sweet spot.

I think we have a bunch of 5ths though so trading back up is on the table.
Even our fifths are going to be pretty valuable so I can see that happening
And since it seems a universal opinion at this time that the first rd is not all that in the draft, I can see third and fourth rd picks actually being worth more than usual

Brashard Smith now over 1200 total yards and 14 TD’s in 10 games for SMU. Very comparable situation to Tyrone Tracy last year- WR turned RB at a new school and excelling. Don’t know if he’s ever going to be a “bell cow” type back, but could be a lethal change of pace weapon available in the 4th/5th

Woody Marks and Jeanty I love. My 3rd guy is Brooks from Texas Tech. Any of them or combo of the 3 would upgrade us quick.
