4 years in recovery can’t be used as an argument? Do you by chance know anyone in recovery? That’s a struggle, and he was sober before that and relapsed, so yes 4 years in recovery is a huge accomplishment.

My buddy is over 20 years recovery and I saw him thru his ups and downs. I went to meetings with him and it was a journey but that is my buddy, he is in a much better place now but it’s one day at a time and not hanging around the same friends. Like the song from Harold Melvin and the BlueNotes featuring the late great Teddy Pendergrass “Where are all my Friends”. A great R&B song and nothing but the truth song.

I’m glad he turned his life around.

Quincy had addiction problems. He never hurt anybody. He only hurt himself.

I remember reading about his story and he’s been very open about it. I have a lot of respect for people who can acknowledge openly talk about what drove them there. I’ve lost family and friends to addiction and it’s sad and painful. I’m glad he’s doing well.

That’s so awesome for your buddy! That is not an easy thing to do and being there for him is also not an easy thing to do so kudos for supporting him.
