All off-season the thing that drive me craziest was the insane mixed messages.

We don't sign CeeDee until camp closes.
We come out of gate flat as can be.
We extend Dak and CeeDee to massive deals but only very last minute when roster is set.
We let the Coaching staff ride on lame duck status.
We allow guys to wlak in free agency and offer no effort to replace them other than maybe a guy will be there in the draft.

No cogent plan whatsoever.

Now there is one.
The boomerang year.
You fall dead then get up and go try to win it in 2025.
The 49ers have done this recently for reference.

Why would this make sense?
You reset the roster. --quite possibly with DLaw and Martin leaving.
And add high picks in every round.
You either get a new staff or you are forced to commit to the one you have.

Now you can let veterans heal properly and you can play young guys hoping to find a couple solutions.
Pressure is off. For now.

So the current path leads to a cliff, where you can’t tell there is a cliff. Fall off regardless.

Fans are not as blind and the person leading us to that cliff. :muttley:

2024 for this team has been one bad decision after another. Only a true miracle can save this season.

Jerry wants Dion‘s son, almost as bad as he wanted Johnny Manziel
But I still can’t understand the part where he resigned Prescott
It must’ve been a wedding present, lol
this season was a tank all along, he just couldn’t tell anybody
That’s why he took Trey Lance without telling the head coach or the quarterback

Except round 4. You don't add a high pick in round 4, because you completely over paid for a wr who's been a total bust to this point.
You can trade back and get a 3rd or 4th round pick. Don’t get me wrong the trade was an overpay but 4th round picks are not hard to recoup.

I knew they would find their excuse somewhere. Prescott injury seemed about right.

Let’s see what happens with the next HC hire and if Jerry still wants his fingerprints all over it.

If so I think the results are fairly predictable.

They are harder than 5 6 or 7s!!!! I kid, but at least that kid is on contract for the next couple years cheap….honestly he probably is a fifth round type of player right now if you picked him…hope he has upside

Just frustrates me because this 4th will likely be so high it's almost a third. It' is obvious we placed more value on him because he has a CHEAP contract. Seems to be our single biggest objective with player acquisitions.

I see what you're getting at though I'm thinking this front office has different goals... Pointing an epileptic octopus a certain direction doesn't do any good, it's just going to spaz in place like it always does.

On a bright note, maybe Lance can magically transform and take two steps forward with all this play time,,,, they are going to play him, right?

I don’t necessarily need to see them
Win big I jsut want to see an inspired group of gentleman come together and have fun trying to achieve a goal!

All the finger pointing and tweets and contracts and last chances and excuses ain’t it. This season was over before it started. One of the worst seasons of all time if you wanna go back to the greenbay playoff game too. Jsut yuck. No stars on yelp. Boring.

Win it in 2025? Uhhh whowahthehowin. Maybe win it all in 2028 or 2029? I am doing my best to optimistic at this point.

But I still can’t understand the part where he resigned Prescot
Couple of reasons IMO

**He's too lazy and old to start over at the positions
** I think he truly wanna see Dak win a Super Bowl

Remember he once said his only regret about Romo's career was he didn't win him a Super Bowl

I think one of the biggest problems is there doesn't appear to be a plan. Everything is spur of the moment at best. Incompetent management leads to Incompetent leadership.

Jerry needs to act like he just bought the team and knows nothing about football. Spend the money to hire the very best people who are forward leaning and get the heck out of the way and shut your mouth. Act like Robert Craft and stay in the background.

There is only one problem with your plan, Jerry Jones. He's clueless, 3 decades of horrible decisions leads to nothing,

I'm sure we can take comfort in all these words of wisdom. They claim they have been overspending and send people packing. Then they say they are gonna make these players earn their money and see how it goes. Then at the last minute, they turn around and sign CD and Dak to a record setting contract. Lies and more lies, what's next?

There is no plan. Go back to bed.
Agreed. The reason there’s no plan anyone can make sense of is because there isn’t one.

Jerry got a little lucky there with keeping his fraud going due to Romo and Prescott to a degree, but that clock seems to have run out.

Now it’s up to him and his kid to actually fix this. Let’s see what they have. Anyone paying much attention already knows the answer.

If this was true, then JJ would have unloaded Parons, et al at the trade deadline. But we all know JJ will never do this because that would take him admitting he screwed up. Also, given his age & ego, he knows his time left is short so he may not live through a rebuild.
