Why don't we open the roof more?

Especially when it gets to like November when it's not so hot, why don't we have the roof open more? If Jerry wants the aesthetics of the sun shining through the stadium, isn't that why the roof is retractable? What's the point of having a retractable roof if you're only going to open the roof once every few years (except for 2020)? That way, he can have curtains off to the west, and he can still get the sun shining into the stadium with the roof being open.

Stephen doesn’t like allowing the air conditioning to escape through the open roof.

Gotta save pennies so they can sign Parsons when the time comes.

I know the sun puts a glare on the big screen in day games and Jerry doesn’t like it.

These are the guys in charge of opening the roof every home game

What for? One open/close cycle probably costs hundreds of thousands of dollars. For basically no effect.

With all that's being going on, THIS is what gets a thread?

Because it makes me wonder why we even have a retractable roof if we aren't going to open it. It'd have been cheaper for the community to make it a fixed roof if they're not going to open it .

Is that true? It would make sense. It's always driven me crazy that they don't open the stadium on perfect days like Sunday.

Exactly, this past Sunday, from what I saw on TV, looked to be perfect open roof weather. What's the weather gotta be for them to open the roof? Shouldn't Jerry have saved the community money and gotten it to begin a fixed roof if he's not going to open the roof?

I know the first year it had to do with the likely-hood of storms in the area and the temperature outside. There were certain criteria that had to be met with those.
