Pretty good article about Tray Lance. He makes a good argument for Lance getting more playing time and even and starting.

This is not your average football team with average play. The Dallas Cowboys are so far below average it is comical, given the preseason hype for this team.

One of the most comical moves this team made was for a player who has not started a game for the Cowboys, but a good value draft pick was sent in return.

The front office and the coaching staff need to take a step back, reevaluate their football decisions, and improve in the future.

It does not matter what the move was or how dumb the move was; the move was made, and now the Dallas Cowboys need to play this man.

It makes zero sense not to....is Jerry afraid that if he balls out, we will lose him to FA? If he balls out, why not sign him as QB 2? If he plays like crap like he currently is, the experiment is over. Danny Dimes will not see the rest of the year for fear of his injury clause in 2025, if Jerry still think Trey has "it".....the decision is easy. This is Jerry though

Everyone already know what Trey Lance is. A practice squad QB who’s lucky to be receiving a NFL paycheck. There is absolutely no reason he needs to be played. The only reason he’s still on the roster is because the genius FO actually used a draft pick to acquire him.

Whoever decided to start Rush is a complete buffoon.

We won't be able to afford him if he plays well. Already too much committed to the QB position. That comp pick would be helpful though.

Apparently not everyone. Too many on here think they know better when they do not.
We need to see, he needs playing time to know for sure.

Why make the trade if you're not going to play him in this situation? It makes no sense at all when both QBs are FAs at the end of the year. Either there's some upside and a reason to resign him or you cut your losses. Everyone knew it was a moronic trade to begin with, but him not getting the nod for the rest of the year is just typical stupidity from this team.

Worst case comp pick...and let me tell you our QB 1 is now status "Injury Prone", we cannot go into next season without a quality backup QB.
We need to draft one. Problem is this upcoming QB class doesn't look very good.

I'm sure some are believing there still is a chance and Rush gives them the best chance to keep their jobs. Well, minus the front office of course, they know the owner.

NFL gives Dallas a 5% chance of making the playoff with a week 11 win. Less than 1% with a loss.

I'm sure Jerry thinks they are still in it if they are 3-13 entering week 18

It's not like it matters if he plays or not in terms of his development and future with the team. If he is clearly not as good as Rush then playing him over Rush sends a bad message to the team which probably also doesn't matter because there will be an entirely new coaching staff next year.

It might benefit McCarthy if he can get one or two wins out of Lance in terms of finding another position next year. Of course, if McCarthy wins the Super Bowl this year he will save his job.
