Dumb things every game. How?

What were those 1st and 2nd down calls where Rush takes a sack???? ONE first down and the game is over. You’re not running out the clock they got 2 timeouts. What coach gives up like that????
You're right, it was so weird. Clock management while going backward looked like an attemptv to get our special teams back on the field for a possibly dangerous play, and intentionally surrender the ball back to Washington. Jimmy Johnson would have at least tried for a first down. If you get it, you get it. Control your destiny, take on the challenge of one first down. Game over. But, when you opt for silly season, it can get real silly, real quick, as we saw.

It was game management today. Let's take it......we got a win.

A scared coach....

Taking sacks was not stupid?
No, it kept the clock running. They were looking for an open pass to get a first down and ice the game. Even Greg Olsen said so during the game.

This Cowboys team isn’t getting 10 yards on the ground for a first down in that situation with the opponent expecting run.

You’re only questioning the strategy because the defense stfb on the one play.

Quinn had several dumb bombs go off . One challenge flag thrown early second half he had no chance of winning . Burned TO one . Second with a chance to take the game 21 seconds left instead of Daniels led 2 Pt conversion Seibert missed the extra point . MM doesn’t have the sole ownership of coming up short .

Why did DaBoll and the Giants bypass Locke for Tommy Cutlets .

Yeah I don't get it, the Cowboys were running the ball pretty well too.

Mike McCarthy clock management has sucks since he got here. 5 years in and it isn't getting better.

Jason Garrett was better. What does that tell ya?

no, if Rush throws and is incomplete the clock stops. They tried to get an easy pass for a first down to end the game. it was a smart play. clock management 101.
That’s dumb. Just hand it off To a rb. Or let Lance run it. Not smart at all. Played scared.

The Giants are tanking for a qb in the draft.

That was just dumb strategy. You only do that if you know it will run out the clock completely to end the game. Just run with the RB and maybe you pick up the 1st down and ice the game away. But going backwards and taking sacks just to burn a few seconds serves no purpose when the opponent will still get the ball back with enough time to run a few plays.

Washington got the ball back with 33 seconds...plenty of time for them to get to midfield and try a hail mary (or even score a TD like what actually happened).
