Cowboys DE Micah Parsons said he doesn't plan to hold out even if a new contract isn't done in the offseason. "I think I'll still be around. I don't know what the coaching is going to be like. At some point, if I got to learn a new scheme. I would love to have (Mike) Zimmer back. ... He has done a tremendous job. I would love to have him back. But if they do change or he just feels like he's ready to go with the horses, I got to learn a new scheme. I got to be around guys. ... There's a chemistry part. ... I still gotta be there for that part."

Parsons knows what it takes, Question is does the jones know what to do with what he said..... My guess is they wanna make him the highest paid D player just to be in the headlines.

That's not his but his agent's decision and it would be stupid not to do it.
I disagree. If his goal is to make as much money as possible, then yes, he should let his agents make all his decisions for him. But if he's more concerned with loyalty, friendships, helping the team sign good players, etc., then it's his choice.

Obviously, his agent will have a lot to say about this. But I figured all of those 'fans' who constantly criticize players who seek the ridiculous money they rightly deserve would be celebrating this statement. Isn't this what you wanted him to say and do?

The way the Jones boys handle their contracts for their best players will change Micah's stance.

Smh...what's the likelihood that these morons actually get this deal done before free agency in March? They're going to extend him anyway, and it will be a mega-deal, so why waste time posturing?

Everything is coming together. Micah will sign a team friendly deal and we can create 100M in cap?

This is 1990 all over again

This is player speak for he hasn't sat down with his agent to devise a plan to divest all possible funds from grandpa jerry.

Yeah he'll save us money and we still won't do anything
Many will be surprised, I won't be. Jerry manages through media and perception.

He was embarrassed this year, my prediction is we will be major players in FA.
