After signing Kirk Cousins to a 4 year 180 million dollar deal just NINE MONTHS ago, Atlanta is changing direction and letting him walk…with a very reasonable cap hit. Anyone think Booger and Chuckles would ever admit fault and do this??? Knowing them, they’ve backed themselves into a cap hit corner from hell….just amazes me how smart some teams are to bite the bullet and correct things….meanwhile, we have the Clapping Carrot at HC for almost a decade. Next season will prove that Dim’s extension was the worst in Pro Sports history.

The Cowboys are much closer to the Browns who will continue to be held hostage by Watson's ridiculous contract.

It did strike me that with Zeke, the Cowboys basically broke the RB market. He was the last super deal for running backs. I kind of wonder if teams are going to start looking at Watson and Cousins and Dak and think "you know, maybe no QB is better than having a mediocre QB for $50 to $60m per year." Trevor Lawrence's deal doesn't look great right now either. Daniel Jones.

The Mahomes of the NFL will continue to get paid but these huge deals for mediocre QB's might end.

Jerry would never do that. He wouldn't admit he screwed up.

I’m pretty sure McCaffery signed his big deal after Zeke…

The economic theory that states "don't throw good money after bad" is called the "sunk cost fallacy"; it essentially means that when making a decision, you should not consider past investments (which are "sunk costs") that cannot be recovered, and instead focus on the potential future benefits of your current options, even if it means abandoning a project you've already invested in.

If only the idiot would put his ego aside for 2 seconds...

Why would we worry about Kirk Cousins' contract in comparison to what needs to be done at Dallas......if you dig deep enough, you'll find our QB or WR contract does not hinder getting talent. Kirk had talent around him, and young talent it's been at Atlanta & Minnesota. Just this year......if you didn't see the cupboard bare for our offense alone....I don't know what to tell you. And QB/WR big contracts were done AFTER the FA market came & went, or the claim "All In".

Falcons realize Cousins is cooked and they have Penix. Cowboys don’t think Dak is cooked and they have Rush. Very simple.

So, what the heck happened to Cousins? He was having a solid season, woth 17 TDs to 7 ints and coming off two very good games. The Falcons wede 6-3 and in firm control of the division.

Then all of a sudden he goes on a streak with 1 TD and 9 Ints. The Falcons lose 4 of 5, and they're battling to make the playoffs.

Did he get hurt again? Get a concussion and not say anything? What little I have watched of him now compared to earlier this year something looks off.

Merry Christmas

Yes, and the exact opposite is called ‘doubling down on dumb.’

It’ll be interesting to see how the kid handles that type of stuff once ego boy is in the ground.

I mean it’s a new team and a new system seems like the guy should’ve had a longer leash. I don’t entirely get the Falcons….they spent a top 10 pick on a tight end…then did it on a running back….then signed Cousins to a big deal when the draft was coming. They draft one of the older quarterbacks….just odd managing of the cap.

The Cowboys' FO is diligently awaiting the return of oft abused QB, Dakota Prescott to prove himself as a candidate for Improved QB of the Year. If that doesn't occur, they'll ask him to void the contract that he's been awarded, as a true act of remorse! Yeah, that's the ticket! What a guy! ;)

He's Rex Grossman?

Cousins has always been this way. Very good on a streak, then suddenly terrible. Might have taken a hard hit that made him skittish where he's dumping the ball off so he won't take hits?

All QB's get to a point where they just don't want to get hit anymore. Rodgers has been there for 2-3 years now. Brady was there his last few years. Causes them to have happy feet and accuracy issues.

The Cowboys are going to find out this season what a BIG mistake they make by paying Dak...he is a broken player and won't even last the season. But, that's fine by me, Jerry deserves it.

Dak can't even go fishing without wearing a walking boot!

It’s easy to do when you take the position seriously.

This team doesn’t do that. Hence no QB being drafted in the top round since Aikman.

Jerry knows best. He says it himself.

Everyone laughed at the falcons for taking Penix Jr after paying Kirk.

Doesn’t look stupid now does it?
