-I believe we all have to accept MM/Zimmer are coming back. Jerry has been selling the idea for some time now. Will they take away the play calling from MM?
-Just not sold on Rico Dowdle as a #1 back in this league. Finally, played a good run defense and he couldn't have any success. As a #2 perhaps, but not a lead back.
-Saw flashes with two young players in Marist/Kneeland. They will be both pushing for starting roles next season. Also, liked what I have seen with Golston this year.
-Although better, run defense remains the team's biggest weakness.
-We have little to nothing behind Lamb at receiver. 1 catch a game from the other receivers isn't going to cut it. Tolbert could become that Gallup but he isn't a #2 at all.
-J-Lewis is a must resign. Might be the most underrated player we have.
-Still see plenty of pressure from this front, less worried about adding another Edge player. Zimmer's scheme plays a big role.
-Wilson has rebounded after a very poor start to the season.
-Adding another high level corner is growing on me.

Still have priority needs at DT, WR, RB but LB/CB have joined the party due to the injuries.

BPA
Jeanty
Burden
Egbuka
Hampton

I would rank those "need" positions:
1. DT
2. RB
3. LB
4. CB
5. WR
No matter what Rico shouldn't figure heavily into the RB situation, I would rather take his money to re-sign another guy.

When you look at where they are drafting and the players that are available, receiver stands out with Burden and Egbuka being possibilities. It also makes sense to get a number 2 receiver on a rookie deal.

We're in the 12-15 zone no matter what at this point, which I don't mind. I don't think the guy we'd pick at #15 in this draft class is that much worse than the guy we'd pick at #6 or 7.

Going off the big board right now, the biggest difference makers we'd probably get in the teens is Harmon or Kenneth Grant. Malachi Starks might be there too, because safeties always drop like rocks for some reason. I don't like drafting Burden that early, and really don't like Egbuka, but we're married to #4 and he needs receivers.

Those are solid options. I prefer the route of addressing a critical need where they may be lacking bodies in the offseason with guys like Grant, Harmon, or Nolen who will be high on the board too. Signing Osa could swing the pick to WR.

They can also go dline in the 2nd round.

#4 Needs a top RB more than he needs receivers.

Just draft the stud that falls…happens every year.

Arnold this year
Nolan last yeqr
Karlaftis the year berore

We seem to do well when we take those that fall so as long as we don’t get cute we’ll probably have a similar opportunity this year.

I will say it's not the worst year to pick 15 instead of 10 or so. There's a few prospects at the top but the guys from 10-25 or so rank very similarly for me so far.

When I look at how this team wins football games against tough opponents it's when our defense is making a ton of plays and we have a solid running game. Receiver is definitely a need but I'd rather have a rock solid o line, home run hitting RB and d line that can cause some serious problems.

I think my favorite round 1 target, Walter Nolen could be there for us at DT. Outside chance someone like Jeanty falls. Lots of edge rusher options, maybe one of the UGA guys. Our o-line seems to be coming together but OT options should be there too.

Other than Jeanty my favorite two offensive weapons in that range are Omarion Hampton (RB UNC) or Tyler Warren (TE PSU). TE isn't a need persay but he might be too good a value to pass up. Could run a lot of 12 with him and Ferguson.

Some things to note

-Zimmer like big DT's. So Grant could be a real possibility.

-Zimmer highly values CB's. Morrison could be on our radar

- Not as high on him as some, but Jalon Carter could be Zimmers next Anthony Barr

- Kind of a no mans land at WR. Wont get Burden. To high for Egbuka

We got needs all over the roster so think you can make an argument for just about any position.

I hope I’m sticks around - it took a few games but it seems like the players are settling into the scene we just need more talent.

Value based on consensus could be edge. I could see Mykel Williams slipping to 12 if 3 QB's go high. That would probably be his absolute floor.

As for team grades, I can see them having a higher than consensus grade on Grant and Morrison. Those are two guys Im homing in on as guys I can see the team targeting

Joseph, Golston, and Odighizuwa are all free agents next year. DT is a huge need need if for no other reason than they may be short of bodies. Mazi, Rogers, Daxon (PS) and some guy named Phil Hoskins are all they have on the roster for next year.

I like Grant but not a fan at all in the 1st. If we’re in the top 15 Graham and Harmon are the only 2 that warrant the pick IMO.

Morrison should be on our radar I just don’t know how serious the injury was and if that’ll make him slide.
