Some things to note

-Zimmer like big DT's. So Grant could be a real possibility.

-Zimmer highly values CB's. Morrison could be on our radar

- Not as high on him as some, but Jalon Carter could be Zimmers next Anthony Barr

- Kind of a no mans land at WR. Wont get Burden. To high for Egbuka
He did used Joseph and Tomlinson. I’m a big fan of Grant, think he fits ideally of what we truly need

Agree…I’d put DT and WR at the top of the list. Lots of needs but those have been needs for years and we have to add talent to those rooms.
Majority of the fan base think we are fine based on the numbers, not the production. We get very little from anyone outside of Lamb.

I’ll never understand it…I don’t care how many we have if none of them are good.
Exactly. It’s also obvious to see that the elite teams have multiple high end receivers. In today’s game you need basically two #1 receivers and a high need receiving te

-I believe we all have to accept MM/Zimmer are coming back. Jerry has been selling the idea for some time now. Will they take away the play calling from MM?
-Just not sold on Rico Dowdle as a #1 back in this league. Finally, played a good run defense and he couldn't have any success. As a #2 perhaps, but not a lead back.
-Saw flashes with two young players in Marist/Kneeland. They will be both pushing for starting roles next season. Also, liked what I have seen with Golston this year.
-Although better, run defense remains the team's biggest weakness.
-We have little to nothing behind Lamb at receiver. 1 catch a game from the other receivers isn't going to cut it. Tolbert could become that Gallup but he isn't a #2 at all.
-J-Lewis is a must resign. Might be the most underrated player we have.
-Still see plenty of pressure from this front, less worried about adding another Edge player. Zimmer's scheme plays a big role.
-Wilson has rebounded after a very poor start to the season.
-Adding another high level corner is growing on me.

Still have priority needs at DT, WR, RB but LB/CB have joined the party due to the injuries.
I disagree with McCarthy returning. It’s week to week. The Cowboys lose next weekend we would finish with a losing season. To keep the coach you would have to extend him and guarantee years/dollars, that is a hard swallow especially with the playoff failures.

Zimmer is the key. Jerry should make him the head coach and hire a hot shot offensive coordinator. It keeps the Joneses in charge. Zimmer needs a stud defensive tackle to go along with Osa and Mazi.

Kneeland/Marist are playing well but its all about Micah. Zimmer has developed a scheme that feeds off of the star.

Dowdle has played well but I bet a young cheap free agent back along with a draft pick would do the trick. Henderson Ohio State type in the 3rd round is my dream.

We have to use free agency. We have to let the Joneses know that last offseason won’t be tolerated by the fan base. This draft is so poor that you have to take BPA with the top 3 picks no matter the position.

I just don’t like these receivers in this draft except for McMillan and the Ohio State kid. The problem is McMillan is a top 10 pick and the Ohio State kid has been fighting injuries. The kid looked like a top 5 pick with Stroud a few years ago.

Jerry has been trying to sell the fanbase for weeks that he wants MM to return. Also, rumblings inside the nfl believe the Cowboys job will not be open. I want him gone, but don’t believe he is leaving under any circumstance.

As for receiver, there will be others that emerge once the process gets started and we hear from the actual scouts. Also, I wouldn’t rule out a trade, that have gone that route quite a lot in the past

The fanbase does not want McCarthy and is tired of the way the Joneses run the team. As much as the Joneses are still making money they are losing segments of the fanbase. This is just like the Garrett situation. In the end is Jerry willing to give McCarthy a multi year extension and know if we start slow it’s gonna be a problem.

The Cowboys need a true #2 at receiver with deep ball potential to play off of CeeDee. Who are the free agent or trade candidates?

I’d be looking at bad teams that might be open to move a WR for draft capital.

Maybe Calvin Ridley or Jerry Juedy if their teams would eat a little of the contract.

Ridley would be perfect. Is Juedy a deep threat? Boy that 4th round pick would come in handy now wouldn’t it.

Idk if Ridley's contract is very movable in year two, but I could see it being possible at next year's deadline. I feel like the best option for WR is looking for a vet on a bad team looking to sell mid season and bring them in if we're competitive. If we're not save the resources and try to develop a young guy.

They’re both similar IMO. Plus route runners that are low end WR1s but would be awesome next to a star like 88.

Neither are deep threats per se but have enough juice to win at all 3 levels.

The free agent is T. Higgins.

Ridley used to be one of the best route runners in the game. After that suspension he has not been the same though. You might have to give up too much for Juedy.

Majority of the fan base think we are fine based on the numbers, not the production. We get very little from anyone outside of Lamb.
The issue is the numbers at the position because if you add another WR that doesn't mean much changes offensively, again we've seen Dak with 3 WRs and a TE. How about try to build around a superstar DE/OLB and CB instead repeating the same old process. It's proven Dak isn't leading you anywhere, so why put another resource into that position? The QB is supposed to elevate the group not get flooded with endless resources to prop him up. Draft guys that help you win in spite of the QB get some DL and RBs in here.

You need to fix both. As we have seen, defense is good if they can survive the early downs, that needs to be the focus of improving. Offensively they have to generate more chunk plays, that leads to upgrading both receiver and running back.

Right now we sit at #15. If we lose the last 2 games, we could get as high as 12 maybe 11 which would put us in prime position to draft a huge upgrade for the DL.
