The issue is the numbers at the position because if you add another WR that doesn't mean much changes offensively, again we've seen Dak with 3 WRs and a TE. How about try to build around a superstar DE/OLB and CB instead repeating the same old process. It's proven Dak isn't leading you anywhere, so why put another resource into that position? The QB is supposed to elevate the group not get flooded with endless resources to prop him up. Draft guys that help you win in spite of the QB get some DL and RBs in here.
How many WRs we have on the roster is completely irrelevant if they aren’t good.
You add a legit WR2 and the offense takes a massive step forward…notably against good teams.

No one is saying don’t build the defense too…we need to do both.

And “the QB is supposed to elevate” argument is a complete fallacy. There isn’t a franchise QB in football that hasn’t been flooded with resources to help him win. Most notably Mahomes who is the best on the planet. We should be following the Chiefs blueprint in adding weapons every year…their QB is better and he has waaaaaaaay more to work with.

You don't need no 1st round WR. Again and again we've seen Dak with these weapons you speak of...are these guys better than young CeeDee or Prime Amari? Is your QB going to find this WR after 2 other reads. Heck, the in-house WRs barely get opportunities and y'all just want to add more to a room of 7. Meanwhile, DTs will just have Mazi, isn't a more immediate need and more important? RB room is empty too, but yeah go give the unconfident, confused QB another 1st WR.

“We’ve seen Dak with these weapons you speak of.” Uhhhh when? Dude had half a season with Coop, Lamb and MG and that’s it. The WR room has been laughable outside of that year and is a joke compared to other NFC contenders.

For the a millionth time, no one is saying ignore other needs. We’re saying WR is a massive need just like DT is.

Dude, Dak has gone thru Dez, T-Will, Bease and Witten. Also, Coop, CeeDee, Gallup, Wilson, and Shultz or old Witten. Two cycles of pass catchers.

WR isn't a massive need, you need a QB to deliver the ball to the guys you have. You want a 1st round WR, so don't down play it, and it's cool y'all have that perspective, that's what makes the draft fun. I like hearing you guys ideas.

You’ve done nothing to refute my point that’s he had an above average #2 for more than half a season his whole career…just listed a bunch of players he’s played with.

1 good WR isn’t good enough anymore. Would you take Terrance Williams over Addison? D Smith? Deebo? Jameson Williams? Puka Nacua? Those are WR 2s on teams that are usually playoff contenders. My answer is an easy no to all.

I don’t want a WR in the 1st I want BPA at a money position. I want a good WR2 and I don’t care if it’s FA, trade or draft.

It sounds like this might be a let’s turn this in to a Dak argument which I’m not going to get into…but regardless who the QB is what we have isn’t good enough.

The further we slide down the draft order the more I see JJ taking another WR with the first pick. He likes value and splash players more than anything else. Adding another play maker to pair with CD would go a long way to helping this offense be dangerous again.
Unless, Jeanty is still there. Then he probably won't be able to help himself from pulling the trigger on the best RB coming out of college in a long time. And I won't be mad at either choice. Even though I personally want a beast DT or monster DE/OLB to be the pick.

Luther Burden will be the pick IMO

-I believe we all have to accept MM/Zimmer are coming back. Jerry has been selling the idea for some time now. Will they take away the play calling from MM?
-Just not sold on Rico Dowdle as a #1 back in this league. Finally, played a good run defense and he couldn't have any success. As a #2 perhaps, but not a lead back.
-Saw flashes with two young players in Marist/Kneeland. They will be both pushing for starting roles next season. Also, liked what I have seen with Golston this year.
-Although better, run defense remains the team's biggest weakness.
-We have little to nothing behind Lamb at receiver. 1 catch a game from the other receivers isn't going to cut it. Tolbert could become that Gallup but he isn't a #2 at all.
-J-Lewis is a must resign. Might be the most underrated player we have.
-Still see plenty of pressure from this front, less worried about adding another Edge player. Zimmer's scheme plays a big role.
-Wilson has rebounded after a very poor start to the season.
-Adding another high level corner is growing on me.

Still have priority needs at DT, WR, RB but LB/CB have joined the party due to the injuries.
Agreed with everything, except CB early.

Our first 3 rounds should be: WR, DT, RB. In any order.

We have no 4th. Dumb Jerry trades away costly 4th round pick once again. What another wasted draft 4th round pick back-to-back. This is why a few of us like me kept arguing we needed to tank and lose out in order to draft around 7 - 10 in each round. This would have allowed us to trade down into the mid-to-late teens in the 1st while being able to pick up an extra 3rd and/or 4th round picks which we need badly! But nooooooo, people around here think with their feelings instead of their brains!!!

Instead, we will most likely be drafting around #18 !?!? No man's land! No one great will be available by then. No one will seriously want to trade up with us at that position. We will be stuck with picking up the scraps of each round. How is that going to help the team???

I agree with those three priority needs, where the other positions would come into play with best player available
