Rico needs 97 yards to get 1k

The odds should favor Dowdle reaching the goal. The Eagles' run defense is right there with the Buccaneers and much better than Washington but he gained 53 yards against Philadelphia in the first meeting. And Dowdle had an even better day versus Washington for first time round, running for 86 yards.

Having relative equivalent success against both teams would take him over the mark. He would edge 1,000 yards if he ran into (pun intended) 30% more difficulty during both games. It is more likely he will fall short of 1,000 yards if the Eagles sell out against the run like Tampa Bay AND Washington is more effective containing the run this time.

1,000 yards is 58 per game these days.

Jerry “won’t be able to tell you how proud he is.”

Six months ago it was “I want to see what Zeke Elliott can do as RB1.”

And we are supposed to have hope with this guy building the team. Funny.

I want Rico to reach that milestone heading into FA to possibly secure him a little more and opportunity. Roughly, 50 yards a game, let's go.

It's an antiquated milestone at this point and will become even more so when the NFL introduces a 20-game schedule. However, I'm routing for him to do it.
