Rico needs 97 yards to get 1k

hope he makes it.
plays hard.
always has since he's been here...just injury bitten early on.
he's finally healthy and earns every yard.
hope he goes over a 1,000 in the washington game...on the game winner.

That’s interesting no RB undrafted has done that. But the Cowboys expected it in a win now situation. Pure stupidity.
It sure is. I still can't believe they don't draft any RBs and then bring back Zeke and figure thats it- RB situation fixed, lol. Crazy. If Jerry is qualified to be a NFL GM, then I guess most of us here are too, lol. I would have done more than what he did.

That’s not bad considering he has only carried the ball 20+ for three games and about half a season of being RB1. What is not good is only one TD. He was terrible against Tampa, hope that doesn’t carry over.

Man you aren’t lying….it almost looks like a sabotage like they set them up to fail because Zeke was cooked here why did they think he would get better with a worse line?

1,000 yards is 59 yards per game. Whoopty do.

If they committed to him earlier, he would have 1,300+.
I suspect if they would have pulled Martin earlier he would have done better. Hoffman is still a work in progress for pass pro, but he is pretty darn aggressive and effective in run blocking.

A more stable line that was able to fight and move people would have resulted in more yards for our backs. IMO.

No, he just needed carries. They were forcing Zeke early on.

Hope he gets it.
However, Jerry will use that as a great sign going forward. and will give him a $10 million contract for a year.
We didn't want to give Pollard 7 million a year so I doubt we would sign Rico for that his price tag. But I get it we do have a recent habit of over paying some of our own.

You never know with pass-happy McCarthy calling the plays.

When you draft a back in 25 and Rico taps his helmet to come out if won’t be # 15 coming in . A fresh college back on a rookie contract and Dowdle on a sensible FA contract say 2 yrs 11-12 million 5.5 to 6 mill a yr is the Cowboys best odds at RB .

And for goodness sakes can a new coaching staff figure out a role for Leupke let MM and brand new agent find employment elsewhere .

1000 yds a season was a great season back when there were only 12 games

now it really means nothing

if you were getting yards in comparison now, that would be over 1400 yds.

remember OJ got his 2003 in a 14 game season.

that same per game average would have 2400 yds now

Dowdle started piling up yards when this ridiculous MM back shuffle ended . It’s one thing to share carry’s when it’s Gibbs & Montgomery but not when your stuffing Zeke into the picture with Dowdle

1000 yards doesn't mean what it once did. 14 game season? Yeah. 17 games? Nope.

1000 is not what it used to be when Jim Brown would do it in 10-12 games.

The benchmark should be 1500 in 17 games

58 against Vic Fangio’s top 10 rushing defense? Welp, lets hope for the best.

I think 1000 o maybe 1200 is fine, considering Jim played on a very different league that was not pass-happy.
