I was in denial the last few seasons that Jason Kelce was the big reason. And Hurts squats 800 lbs or whatever so that’s why. But if you can run it effectively with a replacement center and QB, then it should be malpractice if that’s not the primary play we perfect this offseason, as we fix the whole running game.

The luxury it affords you is both underestimated and undeniable. You can run the ball on 3rd and 5 knowing you’ll get the first on 4th down with a decent gain. The 3rd and 1 throw to Mingo could actually be great play where you take advantage of favorable coverage on a particular down, knowing that you are guaranteed to pick up a 1st on 4th and 1.

Between Smith, Bebe, and whatever upgrade with get at RG, this should be the ultimate priority this off

teams all across the league run it including Dallas

They run it in college and in the ufl

Philly is just elite at it
They had replacements for the top two principals that made it work in this game. Which means it’s reproducible and teams should spend at any costs to do so because it confers unfair advantages.

Which division rivals know it’s coming, line up offsides, and still can’t stop it, it should become the focus of any offense until banned.

You’d be hard pressed to convince me that Smith and Bebe aren’t real meat. So we’re at least 66% there.
I agree on Smith; Beebe not completely sure but likely
we need another bull at RG

Post his Chargers stats….
You never watched them. They were 6th in pre-snap motion last year.

You also don’t know that Herbert was playing with a broken hand a case for a large portion, Mike Williams and their WR core got hurt, Akeler got hurt and was washed, their OL was battered, Staley was an idiot and the team gave up on him.

And Moore was stuck with Lombardi retreat as their OL coach who was a baby.

Excuses….but thankfully Chargers don’t operate with excuses and canned him and Staley.

Wii run the QB sneak as well as any other team including the Eagles.

People bashed Moore with complete ignorance. As soon as Moore took over, there were changes in the offense.

how many playoff wins did it get us when he was here?
and im sure you bashed him just like everybody else when he was here.

He ran motion here and it didn't work in the playoffs. Also Kellen didn't invent the Tush Push, so Im sure not of your point.

Here is another example how the Eagles have been allowed to cheat.....Center has half of his body over the football before the snap.

I agree. If it is going to be part of the game, then other teams need to adopt it and work on perfecting it. There's no reason that Philly should be the only team able to do such an effective play well.

It's always been impressive but doing it effectively with backup QBs surprised me

I still don't fully understand the mechanics, but defenders going over the top doesn't seem to do anything since OL & QB appear to be burrowing down/forward

It's definitely a skill that PHI OL guys have mastered.

Last year the Eagles ran it behind Kelce. If you watch this year, the QB runs it behind Dickerson.

It looks to me like both teams line up offsides on this play. The C has his head in front of the football, and it makes it look like the DL is offsides and sometimes they are. I personally hate the play because it just looks like a mess but the Eagles are good at it and it is up to the other team to stop them. My suggestion is do not allow them to get in too many 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1 situations.

Give the Eagles credit. They have managed to build a strong offensive line year after year despite injuries, retirements and departures. Just another example of the GM gap between the Cowboys and winning teams.
