We are at best, even when healthy, a B level team. We can beat the bad teams handily, compete with the midling teams, and lose to the contenders.

MM has not achieved his number one goal: winning in the playoffs and contending for a championship.

His teams struggle to start games effectively, they are penalty prone, turn the ball over, and play sloppy, undisciplined football and their ability to execute diminishes whenever they face a competent team. They are also poor at situational football, game management, and are predictable. He is regularly out-coached and out-schemed.

The macro change we need at the top GM position won’t happen. Barring that, seeing how this team is far from competitive against its top division rival— change at HC was needed after GB— and is trending again. Should they get throttled vs Wash, the calls for a new HC will only grow louder and more demanding.

So who do we bring in? Brady? Johnson? Fangio? Flores? IMO— We need a tough guy to replace MM’s soft, penalty ridden, and turnover prone regime.

I would consider throwing some money at Vic Fangio. Hiring Fangio strengthens us and weakens our greatest threat in the division.

Hire a young offensive assistant from the Shanahan, Brady, or O’Neill trees and give him the opportunity to cook at OC and build the offense around a competent running game.

The fact this team was embarrassed like it was against Philly reveals just how far we have to go. Mike hasn’t gotten it done yet against inferior competition in the NFC. Why would he be able to now that the NFC is getting more competitive?

The time to rip the bandaid off is now. Fangio would bring an attitude and a toughness to the team, and with Parsons he has a generational talent to build around.

I know Vic is not many people’s top choice at HC because he washed out before, but I would strongly consider making the move and giving him 4 years to try and maximize this window we have with Dak.

Should we not get it done— we rebuild and prep for life after Dak. A strong, tough, aggressive HC is what we need to instill the fire and fight we need to compete in a rough and tumble NFC.

What head coach would Jerry hire to turn this around? Hint: There isn’t one. It will be someone just like Mike, Zimmer, etc that will let Jerry play fantasy football. I am all for change and do want a new HC but it won’t matter. The core problems will still remain.

Take away Jerry's bourbon and play toys, (boat and plane), tape a couple salt tablets on his forehead and wait for the first reporter to ask, 'why the salt tablets, Jerry?'

Hey, look. Another fan blaming yet another in a never ending line of head coaches.

Yes. It's that damn Mike McCarthy holding us back now.
A change at GM is never happening which is stated in the OP.

The only hope we have is at the HC and staff level that can make some micro changes and improvements within the culture that lead to better execution.

Granted— that HC will have to always deal with a FO that makes things difficult — but I have given up all hope that Skeletor and his family will ever loose their death grip on the franchise lol

I actually wouldn’t hate that hire, but it’s not going to happen.

Vic would want to pick his OC and Jerry would want his own selection…because he has a great history in doing exactly that.

The disconnect is fans want the best coach they can get for the purpose of winning. Jerry wants who makes him “comfortable,” and who has no problem being constantly undermined with the understanding that they aren’t the real boss. Jerry doesn’t care that this is a huge issue.

Fangio is out. Pre-snap penalties will continue.

I see no path ahead. Just trying to stay "relevant" at all cost. No real plan for the upcoming years. Just drafting and trying to make the incapable QB1 look good stats wise. The whole west Coast dumbed down offense thing didn't work out in games that mattered. And Mike doesn't have a plan B. Jerry doesn't even have an A.

And IF the Commies can build something around their shiny new QB and the Eagles stay where they are we're screwed for years. I mean we are screwed until Dak's contract ends anyway but that would be the fly on the turd.

The worst thing this year is not the outcome of the season. These things happen to all teams and the injuries didn't help. But it's the medium term lack of perspective for this whole organization.

That surely wasn't crystal meth to under stand Jerry avoiding personal preference and not what is best to truly get dominant and movie stars and not dominance...and real professional NFL ethics.

THERE IS NO PATH until Jerry sells or goes on to meet his maker. Spin it anyway you want. It is what it is. Stop going to the games and buying the merchandise. It’s got to be done on a mass scale. Don’t glue yourself to the tv every time they’re on. I hope JJ experiences misery with his toy from now on.

Ironically the more they try to stay relevant they become irrelevant

No coaching can get around this handicap esp in the playoffs.....................

But that doesn't make it no longer the real problem.
Absolutely.

One can only hope more time on his yacht with endless bottles of Johnny Walker starts to look more appealing than getting grilled in the media and being the laughingstock of the league.

Vangio would make the defense tough huh? Lol yea ok. Philly isn't tough because of Vangio. They're tough because of Carter, Gardner Johnson and quinyon mitchell. Do you not see their on field demeanor mixed with high level play? Fangio had NOTHING to do with their toughness.

Yall will learn the hard way next year woth a new DC. It'll be same ole same ole

.. Hawkeye, I vote we bring you in. Show those SOBS, man football.

1. Dak is a LOT of what is wrong with this franchise. He’s not the only thing but he is a major part of it.

2. I don’t have a huge feeling one way or the other on MM. I think swapping out coaches can help but the contracts the Cowboys dole out and how they approach free agency are the biggest issue.
