Aaron Glenn: If you hire me, you’re getting a head coach not a defensive coach​


One of the other spots could be the right situation for Glenn and he was asked at a press conference about the idea that defensive coaches are less successful when they become head coaches. Glenn cited Pete Carroll and Bill Belichick as alternative examples and then explained that he will not be the coach of the defense if he’s hired by one of those teams.

“I’m a coach,” Glenn said. “I just happen to be on defense. I understand the offense just as well as a number of people. If you want to hire me, you’re going to hire a coach. You’re not gonna hire a defensive coach. I’m gonna talk to the offense just as much as I’m gonna talk to the defense.”



He's probably the Saint's top target.......but if all things are equal, would probably choose the Cowboys first.

He mentioned how he was with a player and the player came to his house and watched film with him, and it was a shocker for that player to do that with his coach

Go get this cat NOW. At least do a zoom call with him. If we hired this guy, it would show how serious the Jones family is for real.

the fit in Dallas appears to be the best place for him to land when one takes a step back and looks at his options. Question is, how serious are the Joneses? Do we wanna win meaningful games?

The only thing about "strong ties" to Jerry is all these guys do lol....Glenn, Witten, Deion....

Jerry is doing something he hasn't done since purchased the team in 1989........his entire coaching staff is wiped out. He needs a new HC AND 3 coordinators. Imagine at 82, he's trying to put together an entirely new staff. What do you see him doing.......he has 3 options

** Hire a strong experienced coach that he trusts and give him the key to put together his own staff
** Hire a coach only if he approves his choice of coordinators during the interview process
** Hire a coach and they jointly choose coordinators
