It would be their third DC in three years if replaced.

If Zim still wants to do it, having him back makes sense….and it’s honestly not even forcing him on Prime. He would want him anyway. Just be grooming his successor as you go.

And ya know, investing in strong DL depth wouldn’t hurt. What I like about Prime is he will have no issue speaking up. Most other Jerry hires who are just happy to be there would not.

Zim was part of his staff in Colorado. It would make alot of sense to retain him and see what he can do with another year.

no. A guy that has publicly said he doesnt know if he wants to continue..thats not my guy.

I personally would look at Zim on the sideline and he would look like he wanted it all to be over. But looks can be deceiving. I just assumed it was a one off thing and he was going into retirement or somewhere with less drama.

I think people believe that because the defense looked better against some crap teams that they think he fixed the defense. THe same weakneses were there. Probably personnel issue that he can't do anything about.

I'd agree, but I think the more recent report was that he would be open to HC or continuing to coach in general so he's definitely in Jerry's back pocket and we all know, he doesn't have any other suitors so...
