Walter Nolan Film Review

With Hatcher, it was Dallas first year in the 4-3 as the 3tech when he blew up. Previously Dallas was in the Parcells/Wade/Ryan variations of the 3-4.
When he went to Washington, he went back to the 3-4 end.
And he started to have knee injuries and surgeries.

Hopefully this time with actual talent, at least.
You think Jerry will get real talent?
Not on your life

There are around 14 1st round graded players. They certainly can get one at 12. You can't be that dumb.
The problem is youre dumb
If there are 13-14 1st rd graded players OF COURSE someone picking 12 should get a 1st rd talent LOL

Why make your stupid comments? You don't have to be a **** head.

Harmon and Nolen are neck and neck to. Comes down to flavor. Harmon is a gap versatile in the Muhammad Wilkerson vein and Nolen is a pure B gap player. I lean Harmon, but Id be happy with either
I think Harmon is just a more balanced player at the moment in relation to pass rush and run defense. I also think he gives you more versatility with his length.

I have him in my top 15 and Nolen more of a top 25 guy.

The more I watch Nolen the more I like him…I just watched him blow up double teams against LSU.

I'm pretty much stuck on Graham or Nolen. And I don't think Graham is a lock to not be at 12. We need a professional interior pass rush

You can’t argue his production, particularly last season, but something bothers me about how Nolan moves. He has definitely has burst off the line and when it’s in front of him, but if the play goes to the edges and he’s in pursuit, he waddles like Redd Fox trying to chase down the play.

Dominating at the Senior Bowl counts for a lot with me, because it takes away so many of the unavoidable "whatabouts" with tape grinding. There's no worries about scheme, or inferior opponents, or studs on your side drawing extra attention, etc. You're facing NFL talent 1-on-1 in NFL coached drills. If you're destroying guys in a mini-NFL controlled environment, you're probably for the real thing.

It'd be fun for someone to actually go back and analyze the hit rate of Senior Bowl heroes, but I'm betting it's high.
couple years old, but speaks to what you're asking.

Great article. It's nice having stats to back up the "feeling" just from years of watching the Sr Bowl then seeing guys I didn't know before, or know well, end up being long term successful players.

Ironically the biggest Sr Bowl performance that I remember is Terry McLaurin and I couldn't believe he didn't go way higher after that. I remember wanting him and Alec Ingold so bad that year.

Maybe we really do need to draft Jack Bech at 44 .

It seems like Nolen has kind of jumped him after his showing in the Senior Bowl practices based on the rankings I've looked at. I like both guys. Some don't have either as a top 20 pick, though.

Graham is clearly the number one DT in this draft and one of the few I think are as near sure things as you are going to get in this draft. After that? I think you could throw a blanket over three or four guys.

Yeah, depending on what you like, cases can be made for Nolen, Harmon, Grant and even Tyliek Williams. I expect us to re-sign Odighizuwa for a pretty penny, though, so I will be surprised if the Joneses pull the trigger on a first-round DT, even though we need to.

yeah, Jethro will give Osa big bucks and then brag he is all in and draft another TE in the second rd.

I’m a fan…might be the best 3T in the class. I like Harmon a little more as I think his length is a better scheme but I think both are 1st round players.
