Notice how he leaves out Trent Sieg.
Disrespectful,
Notice how he leaves out Trent Sieg.
Yes.VERY early. FA is all of 12 hours old. And a long long ways to go. The season opener is 6 months away.
I think what some fans/posters are confusing is his limited role as a Dallas Cowboy may be another team's priority need. For example, as you mentioned, he's a strong run-defender. That could be what his next team is looking for to pair him with a solid tech 3, similar to what we need with Osa. I think most of the free-agent signings we see are role players whose teams prioritize filling with vets or adding depth instead of rookies.I liked Golston cause he was a good run defender, but these type of players can be found rather easy. Let’s remember, he was a healthy scratch the prior season
We are getting picked clean again. We definitely did not get better today by losing Golston and Lewis and adding Williams and Jones.
Still early and a ways to go. But they need to find a few starters in free agency
+1sucked until this past season where he was merely decent playing for a contract.
Notice how he leaves out Trent Sieg.
Our QB1 getting all the $$$$This is our problem. We lose our starters and replace with backups, so even if we draft well they are gone in four years.
Strong and has good speed at DE.
Once he got the DE job, everyone saw him.
No way we could keep him.
I love this, please respond!!VERY early. FA is all of 12 hours old. And a long long ways to go. The season opener is 6 months away.
The likes of which nobody has ever heard of!! LolHis deal wasn't crazy though, we absolutely could have kept him. Just like Dorance Armstrong, I'll wait to see who he's replaced with before judging it. Unfortunately it's probably a scrap heap or late round rookie replacement.
I’m not arguing the Cowboys have gained an advantage. I don’t like their approach. But I do think letting average players leave isn’t what hinders us. It’s gonna happen. Good players will out price themselves eventually. You can’t keep them all. Cowboys just have no idea how to build a team. The teams that signed this year’s top free agents will be drafting players and able to sign older veterans as needed, too. The Dallas Cowboys did not gain an advantage over most other teams in the league today, particularly the Commanders. The Eagles lost significant talent, but they just won the Super Bowl, so no one cares. The Cowboys haven’t come close to one in decades. Fans here care about today’s net outflow. Not going to pass it off with it’s “gonna happen”.
I’ll be honest. I’m not impressed with much of the guys on this defensive line. I get it we scapegoat Mazi but he’s one man. I will not be upset over losing anyone who contributed to giving up the rushing yards we did. Gholston is a good player. Hes the type of talent you need to draft. But once he’s no longer on that rookie contract you have to let him go and find another.C'mon now.
Golston started 13 games.
56 tackles, 5.5 sacks, 5 TFL
I'll take that from SDE. Add in there's not at SDE but Kneeland n Wheat it's questionable.

I don’t think Ware was better but he got his ring and was a contributor to a SB so I get it.DeMarcus Ware?
Last season or his career? Because they didn’t even have a position for him most of his career and last season took injuries to get on the field. They told us what they thought about him then.I don’t think he was average.
