It isn’t as complex as money ballI'm starting to wonder if we are trying to pull off some sort of "Moneyball" style form of team building were we are looking at certain metrics that the general public doesn't generally perceive as valuable to sign lower dollar FA and acquire players via trade.
I'm not saying that it is a positive or a good thing, but it certainly seems like they are targeting certain players who have an athletic profile over an NFL pedigree.
Our offseason seems to have a theme... from the coaching search/hire to the FA period, to the players we are adding...
‘Hey let’s get youngish former first rounders who are cheap because they haven’t produced to expectations’
I mean at least they came up with something but it’s hardly rooted in complex data science
