Honest answer, if Tet ran a 4.42 at the combine he would be a top 5 pick. Speed is important especially on a slow team like the Cowboys.Honest question- If Golden ran a 4.42 40 at the combine would he be in consideration at pick #12?
It used to but will it this year??Sure would like to get him after a small trade down. Just 2 spots nets a late 3rd.
I agree that Tet would be better for Dak. I don't agree that Dak is inaccurate. There's eight years of proof to the contrary. So many people say that Dak is an inaccurate passer so what you need is a guy with a huge catch radius and incredible hands. That describes Tet to a T if he is there and we take a wide receiver it should be a no-brainer. Dallas historically has been one of the worst teams at utilizing speed receivers, for whatever reason we do best with the Strong guy that can come down with contested balls.
Dak has a 67% completion percentage, so inaccuracy isnt really his problem. His problem is he can't read defenses well enough to be top tier teams consistentlySo many people say that Dak is an inaccurate passer so what you need is a guy with a huge catch radius and incredible hands. I agree, that time has made him go from a late 1st, early 2nd to possibly the top receiver in the draft. Where many have said, that elite speed doesn't show up on tape. I wonder if the actual scouts feel the same about the player? I like him and his fit with the team, but 12 is way too rich for me.Honest question- If Golden ran a 4.42 40 at the combine would he be in consideration at pick #12?
Dak has always worked well with a balanced offense, you are right, he isn't a type who can read defenses well enough.Dak has a 67% completion percentage, so inaccuracy isnt really his problem. His problem is he can't read defenses well enough to be top tier teams consistently
Look at the chart. It used to but will it this year??
I am on the record many times that they like both Mykel Williams and Shemar stewart, it's just a question of whether those 2 are higher than GoldenOn ESPN a couple of days ago, DJ said all he is hearing from his sources is an O-lineman, or possibly a DE, to the Cowboys at 12.
He said on the show that he wants them to stop being boring and go for a splash pick like a WR but it's probably not going to happen.
And lots of people say Dak won’t throw to a receiver unless he’s open (contested balls) which isn’t tet. Golden gets a lot of separation. So many people say that Dak is an inaccurate passer so what you need is a guy with a huge catch radius and incredible hands.
