No playoffs for the Cowboys again?

Maybe the bigger question this season is do the Cowboys need to get back into the playoffs to retain Shotty another year?
No. We don't need to make the HC position a revolving door.

If the Cowboys don't get back in the playoffs this year, Schooty won't be the #1 reason why.

I did not say SB caliber, I said playoff caliber.
Know the difference.
There’s only one position that can affect a team so much that turns them to a playoff team or a non playoff team.

Thats QB.

So knowing you’re a Dak fan I can only assume you thought 3-5 Dak was gonna turn everything around for us before he quit on you.

You got played and you will get played again this season. Keep the hope though, Jerry appreciates it.

They went into the season with injuries. Period, so you give it up.
Sounds like the tired injury excuse that some teams seem to overcome better than others.
Just not this team.
But healthy or not this team was going nowhere with that same starting QB and that failed rookie LT project playing their positions.

It will all play out the same way again with those 2 but I'll wait til mid season to start my I told you so's.

If Dak Prescott has proven anything over his career it's that he won't survive a bad line.

We have had consecutive non playoff seasons 3 times this Century.
2019-2020
2010-2013
2000-2002

Many fans feel last years absence was due all to injuries, especially Prescotts. But we had a losing record with him and didn’t look like on a playoff projectory regardless.

We didn’t really address most of our weaknesses in FA. And it’s unlikely the draft will strengthen up all those holes significantly.

Meanwhile Phil and Wash look poised to finish 1-2 in the division leaving us battling for 3rd with a slew of NFC teams primarily in North and West division in a better position to battle for Wild Card slots.

I’d argue winning 8 or 9 games this year would be an improvement over last year. And that’s assuming we can stay healthier than last year. That will be enough to keep us in the playoff hunt but come up short.
This isn't like the past. We have 7 teams make the playoffs in each conference. That means average to crap teams can make it. We could make the playoffs with 8-9 wins.

And you prove my point once again. You just keep spewing the same thing over and over.

How many times do I need to tell you I an NOT a Dak fan. But I do not hate the guy or player 24 / 7 / 365 as you do.

You can't post without EVER not mentioning him or eluding to him.

I bet you used the injury excuse as to why SF missed the playoffs, but refuse to understand that had a huge part as to why Dallas did.

Yeah, I'm not a Dak guy anyway. I just think the 2nd most important player on an offense being the LT, and him sucking, just combines with the inept QB play to make the offense a failure.

If you "honestly" think a fully healthy last year's SF roster and a fully healthy last years Dallas roster was even remotely close in talent then we truly don't need to discuss anything else.

That’s the type of emotional response a Dak fan would have.

I did not say they were close in talent. We all know they were not.
You are grasping at straws now to prove an illogical argument, that injuries did not effect Dallas last year.

This is a team picking in the top 10 next year. They could not stop the run. They could not run the ball.

The chiefs entire skill position starting lineup was wiped out last year, but still made the Super Bowl.

I think only Diggs was out for New Orleans. After that game I knew this team was lousy.

But it only takes a few wins against non contenders and an upset win like the one vs TB and the delusional start talking about playoffs.

and you'll have us in last place....regardless of anything they do or don't do.
you ain't foolin' anybody.
it takes no guts to be a critic.
its cowardly.
square your shoulders like a man.
4th place is more likely than qualifying for the playoffs. The Cowboys aren’t fooling anyone, either.
