Rarely do they bench or even reduce snaps of a high paid starter. Heard Zimmer was going to make such a move, but it never happened. I wonder if the front office blocked the move

since they're the ones making the payments, that's why all this talk of the players competing and the best man will play, means nothing!

In Eberflus's scheme, I see there being a role for each. I think Wilson will be seen as more of an early-down player who can come up and provide strong run support while Thomas and Hooker will be on the back end for our zone looks when a pass is more likely because of their range. I think Bell will be out there as a nickel linebacker because he's also a good run support player but has better coverage skills than our linebackers. Obviously, we won't play him there when a run is more likely.

And there in lies the problem over the last 30 years and why it will remain that way until a Jones is not making decisions.

OMG, two UDFAs at saftey....you might find a diamond in the rough once in a while, but you can't build a team around UDFA...however, they are cheaper, so jerry always likes that.

Took forever for them to decide to fix the position and not think that Jeff Heath was a starting NFL safety.

I think it’s pretty clear which positions the football geniuses don’t consider a priority. A real coordinator exploiting it doesn’t change their minds because they are billionaires and great people who are smarter than everyone else.
