Joe Milton "Not a Good Dude" According to Patriots Insider?

This is so cryptic hard to understand the full context, but perhaps he just thought he was the better of the 2 rookies. I don't have a problem with that, but if he was turning into a bad locker room guy then that's concerning.

Sometimes players just fall into a tough situation and having Jared Mayo as 1 and done coach probably speaks to the functioning of the team.

Interesting tidbit. Truth to the rumors?

"Joe Milton was - and this is a direct quote from somebody in the organization -'not a good dude'", Bedard said to Nick Cattles, "Knowing your role, playing your role; you know, being part of harmonious quarterback room - that was going to be an issue. And it wasn't about Drake Maye, it was just about the [quarterback] room."

Hmm. Sounds like other QBs might be described in terms of them being competitors and having confidence in their own ability.

But Milton, he's just described as uppity.

I heard rumors that when both Milton and Maye where backups, that Milton looked better then Maye. It took awhile for Maye to start playing well when he eventually became a starter. Milton was traded because the new coaching staff didn’t want any type of quarterback controversy. I actually hope Milton has that type of of attitude. We need our backup to be fiesty and keep Dak on his toes.

As I have been saying for years, every position should be up for battle every single year.

Great players will win year after year, but there's no reason to reserve spots for any players.

If I was a rookie contract player and was told I had no shot of competing with another rookie contract player, I would be bothered by that as well.

Who cares where someone was drafted or how big their contract is.

The best player should start.

Throwing shade to justify the trade.

Dak will be out with an inury at some point, like always.
Maybe. It still doesn't mean Joe Milton will be our backup QB. He has the physical talent, but he lacks in the mental aspect. Plus, Will Grier is not going to step aside and give up that backup QB spot without a fight, and Will Grier knows this system and has shown during preseason that he can become a decently good backup QB.

Grier or Milton.

It doesn't matter.

Anybody but Dak.

Yeah man, how dare he compete to be a starter. You need to accept your role and be Drakes water boy.
The world can dangle a carrot claiming it will all be worth it in the end...

But how do you know the world doesn't give you fast acting cancer right before your payload is to come due?

You don't want to answer. You want to claim 'bad luck'

How about eliminating bad luck. At Least eliminate being a waterboy.

The world's go to is missing information and avenues to screw others. Why trust any of it?

"Save your money for 40"....so inflation eats it all up and you can live for 7 years.

You're pushing propaganda. No one should be a waterboy without defined rewards in the near term...not long term

Competition is one thing, being a waterboy is another.

That's what happens when you're a 6th round pick competing against the 3rd overall pick in the draft. He'd have to show he's head and shoulders above the 3rd overall pick. How is he supposed to do that? He's in a no win situation as far as starting goes.

He'll fit right in here with the 53 brands. This squad doesn't play like a team anyway.

i want a vet back up QB. And thats not Will Grier. The guy is 30, i think going into his 7th season and has played in a grand total of 2 regular season games.
with Dak's injury, I think we need a backup that has serious NFL experience. And for this year, make Milton # 3.
