Haters miserable?

..the haters dont like the pickens deal, because its Dallas. They dont want Dallas anywhere near a SB.

The logical analysts, see it right. Getting Pickens kicked Dallas up another notch.

They will win 10-12 games this year. Make playoffs.
I’m never concerned about them making the playoffs

It’s what they do in the playoffs that causes me to explode brown stuff over my tv

I'm still not happy with our GM/owner and not confident that our QB can win when it matters. But as a fan that roots for our players and team to do well, I am positive about the moves we have made this offseason and more hopeful than a few months ago. I think we have a shot to make the playoffs now and if we can add a DT and maybe a LB, potentially we could advance a round.

The 'experts' have been quite positive on the Pickens trade and the offseason overall, with many saying we have gained ground on the Commanders and could have a shot at the playoffs.

But ironically, it seems like some of the 'fans' are even more miserable that there is optimism. They still claim every move has been terrible. Or in a few cases, a couple of them are posting a lot less, I guess because the tone has shifted to more optimistic and it isn't fun for them? Reminds me of the week in here after a win -- when the 'haters' are no where to be found.

So, what are you? More optimistic and hopeful?
I can tell you’re young.

There are some legitimate trolls on this board who genuinely seem to enjoy watching people get their hopes up only to be let down, and think 95% of the players on our roster are "losers" or "trash". Don't let those people get under your skin. No one who spends all day trolling behind an anonymous profile on a random Cowboys fan board is very happy in life, or not a loser themselves. Successful people don't spend that much time and energy on things they can't control, especially surrounding a football team everyone watches and follows for enjoyment.

That said, even glass half full fans like myself are pretty jaded with this team. I think the last few weeks after the draft and Pickens trade is the first time I've felt any semblance of hope or optimism after the GB playoff loss. While I will always root for Dak because he's the QB of my favorite team, I will remain skeptical until proven otherwise. And regarding the FO, yes, it's nice they are finally making some moves, but it's important to remember we are just excited within the context of what they normally do. This offseason, including the Pickens trade, is like a Tuesday for Howie Roseman and actual contending teams who are constantly improving their roster, salary cap be damned.

Point being, there's a realistic middle ground that most football-savvy fans should find themselves on right now. Things are looking up, at least a bit, but we should still be treading forward with some cautious optimism because so much is reliant on Dak playing up to that contract. Until he does, at least some modicum of the trolls' narrative is accurate.

Expectations. The only time I was surprised was when we got slaughtered by the Packers. The Cowboys were totally unprepared. You can't blame a single player for that. Other than that, none of these recent playoff losses surprised me one bit.

An example of someone who can’t acknowledge anything good. They just traded for one of the top WR’s in the NFL for only a 3rd round pick and you say it’s “just a bunch of bodies”.

Dude.
That was more so referencing the signings prior to the trade as I directly acknowledged the Pickens trade below that if you kept reading.

Well this will set them straight. For shame, bad fans. For shame.
I suddenly feel the need to get out my foam finger and Cowboys blue sunglasses and cheer for everything my team does. All my skepticism has been washed away.

Go bet the over. You seem like you’ve got it all figured out.

It’s just as exhausting reading the classifications of who all someone says is a “hater”, a “homer”, a “realist”, “miserable”,,,whatever. I’ve been called all of those at one time or another.

This is a Cowboys fan forum. A Forum is a place for multiple opinions. Cowboys fans have lots of them. That just comes with being a fan. When we all signed up to be on this forum we agreed to follow the rules; one of which is to not attack each other.

We should just let fans have their opinions. Even the ones some of us don’t like. Disagree without the name calling, call-outs, attacks, insults, etc. and it’s all good.

The fastest way to lose an argument is to start insulting someone, mocking them, and generally acting like a middle school kid behind a keyboard.

That is more offensive than any opinion here.
