I agree to a certain extent. Bland is very good on routes that cut outside. But I see where he is not as effective on certain other routes. He is not a bad CB. He just has to be more consistent. I would say the same thing about Diggs.

Diggs is a gambler. when he gambles and he gets interceptions, then he gives up a big play. Bland is similar, but less atheltic. problem with Diggs is he refuses to tackle. and that's a huge problem in run defense.

I hope Elam works out. but I wouldn't discount Bland and put in 4th place already, behind the rookie who is coming off knee injury himself.

No shade towards Bland because I think he's a solid corner but Diggs is our best cornerback on this roster and the stats production prove it.

Bland's a damn good player. The picks are flashy, but he's a very good down-to-down coverage player as well. And he tackles. Dude's just kind of the complete package.

Elam got benched on a Bills roster that needed CBs, and got abused when he got put into the limelight in the playoffs. He's still young enough to turn it around, but ranking him ahead of a 1st team All-Pro is freaking lunacy.

Diggs is a major talent as well. He's like Bland, in that he gets flashy picks that overshadow how consistently good he is on the other 40 coverage snaps of the game. He just absolutely does not want to tackle, and I'm worried about how much juice he still has after all of his injuries.

I’ve been saying this for a year. Check all my posts about him constantly being in Dallas Methodist’s burn unit after every game. He gets absolutely TORCHED every game. Bet we can count his PBU’s on 3 fingers.

Just because he didn’t light it up last year doesnt mean he can’t play. I liked what I saw of him last year and think he could be one to surprise.
