Video: George Pickens: Talent on Display

That's part of what I'm saying too about Pickens. He definitely has a high ceiling, higher with Dak presumeably.

The guy can play though. Seriously acrobatic.

I want to see him improve on TDs too, though.
Pickens is basically our version of AJ Brown when the Eagles traded a first round pick for him but signed him to an extension. Brown’s stats with Tennessee are very similar to Pickens stats with Pittsburgh except Brown played with a solid quarterback, King Henry and another good wide receiver.

So, I like this move better than TO. I would like this to be our core receiving duo.for at least next 5 years. That alone would increase our chances.
If he plays well with Dak and CeeDee the Cowboys will keep him. I mean you can always move on from Ferguson and Steele if you can’t find the money to sign Tyler, Bland, and Pickens.

Very low risk getting a 1st round talent with 3rd. Lamb and Pickens will cause DC's fits. All the Cowboys need is a consistent running game.
Like I said in another thread. The Cowboys are basically last year’s Bengals offense with a better offensive line and defense. Some are predicting that Bengals team to win the North this year over the Ravens.

Maybe a tiny difference between Dak and Burrow.

Honestly from a pure talent standpoint, athletic ability, flexibility, speed, strength, hands he might be in a league of his own. To me he's A faster more athletic Dez, which is ridiculous. The only challenges will be with the other antics. Will he be in meetings, will he cost you games with a dumb penalty? Will he affect young players with these things? I believe the team has the leaders and is veteran enough to handle it. We'll see. Again, pure ability is off the charts. If he was wr1 and you wanted him to set the example for the receiving
Dez was one of a kind. He was a force of nature but to be honest was not a good receiver. Dez couldn’t run the route tree and was not that fast. It was just when the ball got in his hands, look out.

Pickens has more talent than CeeDee but he needs to control his emotions. The Cowboys are perfect for him because CeeDee seems to play well with other talented receivers.

Maybe a tiny difference between Dak and Burrow.
Burrow really gets lots of credit for that Super Bowl year. I have seen him play against Cooper Rush twice and he should have lost both times. There is not much of a difference between Dak and Burrow.

That's exactly what he does, then Lamb opens things up for him, theoretically.

And you can't forget about Tolbert. I think we'll start to see more Andre Reed similarities with Tolbert. At least, that was my comp with him.
While I was sold on your post and gave you a like until I read Andre Reed come on man his comp right now let's stick to like maybe Cedric Wilson or you know another ex cowboy Noah Brown he has things to offer yes but I really think if you want the juice we need to add in Turpin more in this offense and we need to get Jayden Blue involved...

So this edition of Pickens has opened up this entire offense because now the guys have moved down a level are still really good and they won't be counting on as much now they can just relax and make plays when asked...

But if you want to comp like who I think Tolbert could probably be it's Michael Gallup healthy Michael Gallup it's taking him longer than Gallup did to get on the scene but that would be his ceiling..

Not much at all really let's not have this debate it's ridiculous the fact is Cincinnati has kept that team loaded on offense it would make one seem to be better when your quarterback has more targets and an easier time but they still ain't doing squat without a defense....

If there is a difference if you really want to see a difference it's minuscule like you said tiny but let's not go there whenever Prescott was given that type of arsenal I don't know when it was it was maybe three years back nearly had three players with one thousand yards.. I mean literally has kept seedy lamb really close to Jamar Chase in production I mean so really where is all this I mean is it because he lost the Super Bowl I mean that's all I hear over there is poor Joe Burrow doesn't have good enough team to get him into the Super Bowls that win Super Bowls they need better teams well yeah it works out that way for one Prescott as well...

Yeah I'm tired of hearing that let's talk about Jalen Hurts and the super team he won a Super Bowl with and tell me that you couldn't have plugged in prescott or Joe Burrow and they both get a Super Bowl ring with that same team that's the difference it's the teams it's not the quarterbacks yes Joe Burrow at times looked like he's a step above Prescott in some areas but really it's so miniscule it's not even worth talking about the main is not carried his team to a Super Bowl win

I remember a bunch of slow starts by him as well and I'm pretty sure the Dallas Cowboys with Cooper Rust beat him head to head that's not good for Cincinnati to say the Cowboys came and beat them with a healthy Joe Burrow I thought the quarterback is supposed to carry your team against a backup quarterback if you're elite you're supposed to be winning those games not any excuses about your defense...lol.

Brevity is your friend bro.

As far as the Reed comp, think of the Moss, Carter and Reed trio. Reed wasn't the #1 in Minny. He had been in Buffalo. If I recall, it took Reed some time to develop too. Not quite as long as Tolbert. But if Tolbert improves at the same trajectory as he has for the last 3 years, my comp since his rookie year could pan out.

When we make comps, it's more about style of play, body type, ability than actual statistical production.

It helps to kinda know the difference.

Come on man.

I hope it makes you feel better that you think you just won something like you schooled me let me know how wrong I might have been i'm gonna tell you right now michael Gallup is a perfect comp for this guy they're almost the exact height the same way the same 40 time they play a similar game and they will forever not be a number one in this league at best both of them were number two potential and I know Michael Gallup got hurt but that is in my opinion a great comp and it sticks to the Dallas Cowboys not someone who played in the 90s but it's OK if you feel that way i'm not looking it up but why don't you look it up height weight 40 times watch both of their games I'd say it's a great comp..

But at least we're on the same page about Tolbert even though he's a slow production guy he shouldn't be counting out of this offense like we've seen others talk about so at least we can agree on that he he can be still a good part of this offense...

But that's the reason I brought up some of those other players because of their role on the team not just their body types but that's all I brought up Gallup because they're almost the same player they're both a very watered-down version of Dez Bryant....

I will never understand why some of our fan base hates Dak so much. I have seen Burrow and I don’t see the difference.

Look I think he throws a little bit nicer ball, he seems to be a little more comfortable in the pocket, but that's not make him better because Prescott does other things better.. that's why I try not to change who they are but yes, I'll defend my quarterback for sure he and Romo get a raw deal around here and it's kind of strange...

Like I said if stats don't matter and regular season doesn't matter then JoeB really not ahead of Prescott by Any means just because he went to a Super Bowl and lost...

Gallup is a decent comp. Plays more like Reed than Gallup imo.
